Augustine: They didn’t have any better choices.
Dusk: Because i’m different? Some freak of nature?
Augustine: Because it was too dangerous...
Dusk: I don’t know who you are or what you’re even doing here. But I don’t need to be hounded even in my dreams about how i’m too dangerous to be around people. I just want to be left alone!
Augustine: You have no idea how long it’s taken to find you...we hid you too well.
Dusk: I’ve been here the whole time. No one’s missing me.
Augustine: Aren’t you lonely here? Don’t you want to go home?
Dusk: My parents left me here, they’re scared of me. I can’t go home...
Sins of the fathers...
Look for me in the white forest Hiding in a hollow tree
(come find me)
As the mirror started to shift and clear Nyx stepped forwards again, being careful not to disturb the blonde as he went over to the bassonet. He knelt down and tucked a ring with his family's crest on it in with the blankets along with a short note. He carefully guided the bassonet through the rippling mirror then stepped back, hoping that he would find his way to a better place. 'To the reader of this note; please take care of my son, Dusk. Please give him a safe and loving home as it's no longer safe for him here. The ring belongs to him as part of his heritage and it's the one memento i'm able to give him. When he’s older if he wonders where he’s from you can tell him he’s from a once powerful and proud line of fae. Kindest Regards - Nyx Aether'
As the power flowed through him Augustine felt himself tear up and his nose began to bleed with the sheer strain of focusing. His muscles ached and his hands began to burn. From his cage Angelo watched on in horror, torn between being desperate to call out to him and not wanting to hurt him further with a distraction.
Angelo: You don’t have to do this. We’re together now right?
Augustine: There’s no turning back now, i’m sorry. We’ve risked too much planning this. I’ll explain everything after ok? I’ll let you out then.
Nyx: Now be quiet.
Nyx walked towards the distorted mirror and conjured up a bassinet to place Dusk in. Augustine meanwhile walked to the centre of the room pulled four candles and a match out of his pocket, setting them up around him.
Augustine: Stand back and no matter what; don’t interfere.
