Did I share this picture with you? No, I didn't. It's over a month old. I held it back for so many reasons. 1.I look more peaceful, confident and complete than I've felt all 2017. My soul felt muddied and that's a heavy burden to carry for a neat-freak. 2. My makeup, skin, clothes all look on point, the way they didn't in Bombay. What's that? Yes, this was shot in Delhi. The city I've loathed and feared for every reason from frightful familial memories to an abusive ex to ghosting friends. Delhi is my hell on earth. How do I look so good in it then? 3. It was shot in Delhi. My first visit to the city of my birth completely independent of all the horrors I associate with it. Delhi on work. Delhi as my stage. It was wonderful. And that takes time to embrace. Delhi is like the blood feuding enemy I've had my whole life. If such a villainous stranger were to suddenly smile at you, wouldn't you be wary? Yes.
