ALL DONE
Our 28 days of 28 tasks are over, and it has been interesting for us to answer a couple of questions we had.
Firstly, we wanted to work out our thinking around commitment as a subject - do we want to make something that uses the word 'commitment' - that talks about commitment as a standalone thing, and what it means? Or are we more interested in what possibilities arise through really committing to something? What could we make, what could we offer to people, if we and they were more committed than ever to whatever idea was on the table?
Secondly, we wondered how people might engage with what we were doing. A few of the tasks required us to interact directly with people we knew or with strangers, but largely this was 'us doing stuff, and other people watching', via this tumblr and facebook. What would be interesting for the tumblr audience? Would it be people we know who followed our activity, or is there any way it might spread?
Thirdly would sound nice but I can't think of one now. So, instead, here is a round up of a few things that happened from 1-28 July 2013, when non zero one agreed 28 tasks and committed to completing whichever one they were told to do (by random selection), the following day, and to document it on this tumblr:
1: haiku love and hate
2: bath time
4: rude comedy
7: blow some bubbles
8: trash talking
11: game face / sad face / actually quite good face / saronce / finger dance / horror show
14: alex was born upside down
19: fran has her fingers crossed for a trip to a brewery in a country she's never heard of (Czech Republic)
23: the possible start of cat's gambling addiction
24: we will have so many puppies
25: just this
26: basically just a gallery of clocks
the next steps for us are to think of a few big commitment ideas - things that we could pull off if everybody really gives everything to it. hopefully we're going to start testing and working with groups of people who aren't us (I think they're called audiences?) - so if you're up for this, let us know.
