I’m so thrilled to sign in here with the second post of the new season, here at the fresh and rebranded Musica in Extenso! We hope that you like our new logo, the energic design.
Our unprecedented 4th Season Premiere Event features the portret of a world-famous soprano, a phenomenon and a real legend. This week we will display The Spirit of Maria Callas and her beautiful, timeless voice as a honour to the memory of the noted soprano. She died 40 years ago, but her voice is still impressive and creates special atmosphere and feelings on the audience.
She was a brilliant artist and musician: her repertoire contains more than 40 roles, like Lucia, Floria Tosca or Violetta from Verdi’s Traviata. Maria Callas was famous about her interpretations of Verdi and Puccini operas, so today we will listen a famous aria from the comic opera Gianni Schicchi, composed in 1917-18.
