You’re sitting at your kitchen table,sobbing once more as you thought of your now ex.Everything was going so well,you thought this person was definitely the one until the day they broke your heart.It was unexpected and painful but thankfully you weren’t going through this alone.Penny was sitting beside you,gently patting your back as you let it all out.
“Obviously you deserve better than them.Humans are idiots,I’m telling you.”
You glanced at him and scoffed,”I guess that means I’m an idiot,huh?”; He bites his lip and shakes his head,”No.Not you.I’m just..you deserve better is all I’m saying.” Annoyed now,you shake his hands off you and turn away. “Don’t speak so ill of them.They were the only person who truly cared for me.”
He frowned and fidgeted in his seat,trying to find the right words to express what he was feeling. “Listen,I..I would kill for you.Anyone you want.”
You peeked back at him in confusion,”What?”
“Just tell me and I’ll take care of them.I can be your protector that way.”; you squinted and turned back to him “You know that’s like illegal for us right? Why would I need you to kill anyone for me?”
“Because they hurt you.No one can ever hurt you,no one ever should.I’ll take care of them so you won’t hurt again.”
“By..killing them?” You frowned,a bit creeped out at how serious he was.Penny nodded and thought back to movies he watched with you,trying to think of what to do next.He paused for a second before grabbing your hand to yank you over to him,slamming your body to his for a hug.
“I’ve been wanting to tell you something for a long time now.I just didn’t know how..”
“Okay,what is it?” You asked nervously.He was never touchy with you so this was something completely new and somewhat frightening.He hesitated for a second before tilting your head upwards for a kiss; it was kind of harsh and awkward but it wasn’t all too bad.Pulling away after a couple of seconds,he stared at you,waiting for a reaction.
You sat there,shocked and flustered. “Penny..”
“I’m trying to tell you that I love you more than they ever could.”
