Sleep is overrated || Kat&JJ
The hours have flown by as they usually do when there’s anarticle to write. Katherine works best at about three in the morning, something Jordan continuously protests, so much so that it drains him of energy and leaves him silently snoring on her couch, the way he ends up most nights, and tonight is no different.
Like most nights, Katherine has an empty pot of coffee to match her empty mug, and a perfectly written article that had been read, edited, re written, re written again, edited, and finished as something that she can happily turn into the Prophet’s Editor in Chief.
Usually she finished with a few hours to spare; time enough to curl up with Jordan and her dog before she wakes up to do it all over again, but this particular article has taken her into the early morning sunlight, and the new day is already begging for her attention.
Quiet feet bring her to the couch, bending down far enough that her elbows rest on the cushion, and her face falls into her hands. Just enough commotion to draw him out of his sleep. “You know I have a perfectly good bed you can object from, right?”
