I think this was the foxes work considering I found it on a pile of other prey.

I found a mummified o.possum on Sunday! At first I only saw a scapula and rib, but I kept looking around and found this whole fella, totally undamaged! I'll wait until they decompose a bit more and then take the skull :)

EDIT: This is most likely a r.accoon. I think I have a tendency to let what I hope I've found cloud my vision when trying to id animals 😔

Update time!

The horns finally came off the bigger bull today! I gave them a good wash off and put them with the other horns. The same bull also got a lot of loose meat off today too!

The opossum is going in for a whiten bath right now. I have no clue how long to leave her in said bath so I’m keeping an eye on it.

Here is the little opossum. The skull still needs to soak longer and whiten up but I skinned the rest of the stuck on meat off.

I’m still very sad about her death. There was a lot of hope when she started moving around more but sadly she didn’t make it.

Her skull is coming along quite nicely though.

A new opossum skull!

Really been wanting another opossum because of how cool their skulls are and because of the quality of my first one. This one is perfect besides some missing teeth and obvious glue. Happy with them nonetheless!

Fun fact: the bull skulls I got were so big and heavy that the tote one of them was in went from a rectangle to a hexagon. So now they are in the trash bin outside...

No we didn’t throw them away... they are soaking in there. The trash bin is now being used for Maceration until next Tuesday where we gotta use it for actual trash.

(The bigger one does have both of their jaws but only one is pictured. Sorry.)
