Got some concerned comments on my last post about him thinking he was alive, which is an incredible compliment, but I’m sorry it came at the cost of giving some of y’all heart attacks!
What I think is possible a juvenile coyote or something similar. Pretty small, had teeth coming in, and very round. Not the greatest with canine skulls
Here's your yearly reminder NOT to purchase bat taxidermy products.
Because of their size, bats are notoriously difficult to find deceased from natural causes, and by the time they are found, the bodies have often already decomposed beyond value.
As sad as it is, it's true — As holidays approach, I know many people with an interest in these critters have the potential to receive gifts that are very unethical for the creatures they care about. Bats are killed for the sole purpose of displays like this as a soulless cash grab. Already, there are dozens of bat species that are threatened or endangered. It is not fair to them to support an industry that is actively trying to extinguish their life for decoration.
You can read more about this crisis here and here.

Whoever said I was shadowbanned and that’s why I couldn’t reply to comments:
you were completely correct thank you
Button buck skull in cleaning. This is the guy I took the teeth from awhile ago. Hoping this will be my fully complete button buck skull
Normally wouldn’t keep a skull this damaged but look at those teeth. Old doe
Incase you ever wanted an adorable fact about the cutest little tiny bird that is the black capped chickadee:
I see them eat flesh every winter..
Some pictures of my atypical deadhead. This guy was an old man. Teeth are almost completely worn down. He is one of my favorites in my collection
was about to just throw this at y'all but remembered I kept the dee.r leg with similar fucked-up-edness under a readmore so. since it's more than just a typical skull I'll add a warning:
below cut: a co.w skull with a REALLY fucked up face - lots of bone loss/degredation around the eye but spread to cover nearly the whole side of the face. webbing from the nasal passage is visible, and there is bone growth around the outside. NO BLOOD/MUSCLE IS VISIBLE, ONLY LONG-SINCE CLEANED BONE.

All three of these deer were roadkill that I picked up for work. The 3rd one was injured and had to be euthanized. Meat was not wasted as it fed my family (also some of the skull fed my dogs 🙄)
Beautiful old moose with horrible teeth
Took only the incisors as to not lose them and left everything else till it’s a bit more cleaned up.
