A visit to Wren's Apothecary... White Oak Bark is used for healing, protection, luck, protection, and fertility spells. It lends strength to magic and charms, and aids in removing negative magic. It is highly astringent and drying, and was an ingredient in Druid's tea. As an incense, it is also said to remove unsettled spirits or ghosts from a house or place of business. Suggested magical uses: *Burn on a charcoal as an incense. *Sprinkle around a room or property. *Add to a bath for spiritual cleansing. *Carry in a mojo bag along with other herbs and talismans. *Sprinkle on or around a spell candle. *Add to a spiritual oil. And, because Oak is associated with Yule, White Oak Bark is one of the herbs in my Yule / Winter Solstice Pocket Altars.
