Re-Introducing Oakscion Ænigma, the Gubbins Maestro
Openly queer, non-binary pansexual, IT analyst, druidic geek
And if this nutshell piques your curiosity. please read on...
Oakson / Oakscion
My youth was spent in the verdant village Oakworth where I attended Oakbank school and later learnt importance of the mighty Oak therefore I adopted the name Oakson.
-scion
noun
a young shoot or twig of a plant, especially one cut for grafting or rooting.
a descendant of a notable family: "he was the scion of a wealthy family"
Since my "regeneration", dropping the -son aspect of my adopted moniker, embracing my gender-fluidity, to now be Oakscion.
Enigma / Ænigma
MCMXC a.D, Return to Innocence, The Screen Behind the Mirror - these albums have a profound influence on my life.
Often introvertly private yet emanating an air of mystery, during the Internet infancy I was known as The Enigma.
aenigma n (genitive aenigmatis); third declension
a riddle, enigma
an allegory
(religion) a mystery
Latin aenigma (“riddle”), from Ancient Greek αἴνιγμα (aínigma, “dark saying, riddle”).
Gubbins Maestro
In 2020 I was asked by a couple of friends to Dungeon Master an adventure using Dungeons & Dragons 3.5 edition system, that campaign became Gubbins & Gobbos: Core (along with a concurrent group G&G: Beta)
Subsequently, the high fantasy escapades took a dark twist spawning Gubbins & Zombos: Escape From Ravenloft.
Occasionally taking a break as a player for the others to contribute their creativity, but always conducting our mythology into a coherent chronology as the Gubbins Maestro.
"I can feel it -- the turn of the Earth. The ground beneath our feet is spinning at a thousand miles an hour, the entire planet is hurtling around the Sun at sixty-seven thousand miles an hour, and I can feel it. We're falling through space, you and me. Clinging to the skin of this tiny little world, and if we let go...
...That's who I am. Now forget me. Go home..."
