To President Obama on Syria
Dear Mr President,
It has come to light that the Syrian Regime has used Chemical Weapons on it citizens. If this is the case and you must send our nations military I ask that you think your plan completely through. That it be honest and practical. I ask that as a result of your decision we are not drawn into another long and costly war. The American public has grown suspicious of our Government. In the last decade and a half we have been told lie after lie. We have been lead to almost ruin, and just about took the rest of the world with us. Please Mr. President, do all of us a favor and keep it real. Remember that though you may be insulated in that bubble of the White House, your citizenry experiences actual effects from every decision that you make. It is our friends and family who must go and carry out your decision. It is our lives that must be disrupted and if there is American blood to be shed, it will come from those that we love. We do not take this lightly. So if we must go and all avenues of diplomacy have been exhausted, then let us go there and come to the aid of our Syrian brothers and sisters. We must though do this knowing the great price at which it may come, a sacrifice the American people have made time and time again. If we must go there, we must be armed chiefly with the truth.
