Later that evening, Seth decided he needed to go shopping for some clothes for the Bachelor show, as he had very little in regards to summer attire. He also ordered a bike for his nephew. After the sun went down he decided to take a nice leisurely walk back home, and as he passed the Brindleton Cafe, someone called out to him...

JAKE- “SETH!  Well, well, isn’t it the Big Brother hero and now heading to Sulani..

It was Jake Bowling, Seth’s ex, who last he heard was still in San Myshuno...

SETH- “Hey Jake... I thought you were still in the city, what are you doing here?”

JAKE- “The old hometown, you know you can’t stay away for long.  The bay calls you back. I opened up a shop here next to the cafe. The boys here in Brindleton need some style and class. Who better to bring it to them than me, right?’

SETH- “What happened to....

JAKE- “Oh, Max? Yeah he lasted about three months, and then there was David, and then Colton... I don’t do well in relationships, but you know how that is.  Maybe I should have went on the Bachelor, be one of your suitors and get you back!”

SETH- “Yeah, that is never going to happen Jake.  Well it’s good to see you I guess. Hope things work out for you here.”

JAKE- “Really, Seth, that is how you are going to be?  You win big bucks and become a TV reality star and you just throw me aside?”

SETH- “Actually it was you that threw me aside, some time ago actually, and I haven’t seen or heard from you since then. So I hope your shop goes well, and you find what you are looking for.”

JAKE- “So you are saying, that we can not even be friends? We have known each other since High School, Seth.”

SETH- “Yes, we have known each other since High School, and I know you VERY well, Jake and you have some other ulterior motive wanting to renew our relationship, or whatever you want to call, for your benefit, and I am not interested. I have removed toxic people in my life for a reason. So good luck with your shop, and welcome back to Brindleton.  Once I return after the show, I will be cordial towards you, but that is the extent of my relationship with you from this point on.

JAKE- “So you are just going to treat me like an old acquaintance?”

Seth turns and walks away from Jake. Jake just stands there as he watches him head towards Elm Street towards his parents house...

SETH- “You learn quick, Jake. Take care.

LYLA- “Albert, are you watching the news again? You know that is the same newscast that was on at noon, right? Just turn that off, Seth is here.  He is out talking to Enoch.  He will be in here in a minute.”

ALBERT- “Why do I need to turn it off just because Seth is home? He knows I watch the news at 6:00″

LYLA- SETH!! You are home, Son have you lost weight? Were they not feeding you on that show> You look so skinny!”

SETH- “Yes mother they fed me and no I haven’t lost any weight. I actually gained a couple pounds. Hi dad. Anything good on the news?”

LYLA- “You want something to eat?  I have meatloaf in the fridge I can warm up.”

ALBERT- “Lyla, leave the boy alone. Always trying to make everyone eat.  He has lived here for 25 years, if he is hungry he knows where the food is. Hello son, you look good.  The news? Same shit different day, just like here.”

LILA- “I am so glad you are back home, Seth. And so glad that you won!! Honesty and good judgment...we taught you well.”

ALBERT- That’s because he listened and wanted to learn. That other one out there is never going to learn anything. I thought they were leaving to go stay at her mothers for a few days?? They need to go on.”

Early the next morning Seth got up early fixed breakfast for his mother, father, Corrine and Jackson, and began packing for his trip to Sulani.  His plane was to leave in two weeks, and he had so much left to do before then. He hopped onto his computer to check his e-mails and found this from the producers of The Bachelor....

  SETH~     Congratulations on being chosen to be this years Bachelor on the Gay Bachelor 3. We have been able to secure all the contestants in record time, and are moving production up!!  You should receive your updated plane tickets within the next day, and look forward to meeting you by the end of the week!

    Don’t worry about your wardrobe and any personal toiletries and such as our stylists will be here to take care of all of that for you upon your arrival. Any other personal items are allowed, except for a cell phone, and/or laptop, as there will be no connection to the outside world while you are on the island during production.

   We look forward to meeting you and hope this experience brings you exactly what you are looking forward to.  If you have any questions before your departure, please direct them to your personal assistant, Drake Ridley at the number below.

Seth is on his way to Sulani to meet his suitors!!

SETH- “So is Enoch drinking again?”

LILA- “It’s worse than ever, Seth. He barely even talks to Jack, and is mean towards Corrine. He even was a little nasty towards me the other day.”

ALBERT- “That was the last straw for me. I told him that Jack and Corinne could stay, but he had to go somewhere else. Today is the first day we have seen him since.”

SETH- “So if he is not staying here, where has he been staying?”

LILA- “I am not sure and neither is Corinne. She told me if things are not better by September she is filing for divorce.”

SETH- “Maybe I can talk to him while I am here. I mean it will be hard for Corinne on her own. I know she has done most of the parenting anyway, but trying to support them alone and being a father and mother is hard.”

LILA- “She just finished Nursing School, so she has that. I told her I can watch Jack, and help her with him as much as she needed. She will not be alone. As far as talking to Enoch, you can try, but not sure what good it will do. He has to want help, but he don’t think he has a problem...”

Going home after being isolated in the Big Brother house, Seth is having a little anxiety. Added to the fact that apparently his brother forgot to pick him up at the airport. As he exits the cab and walks up to the house, he sees his brother Enoch on the front porch of his parents house and Enoch’s wife Corrine and their son Jackson in the front yard.  From what his mother told him, they moved in when Enoch lost his job at the docks, but she didn’t say why.  Jackson is his favorite out of the three, but then he is only seven years old.

JACKSON- “Uncle Seth!! Your home finally!! Daddy said you won a bunch of money… you think you can buy me a new bike?”

CORRINE- “Jackson Schrieber!! Now you know better than that son!”

SETH- “How about you come here and give me a big hug, Jack and then we can talk about a new bike…”

JACKSON- “YOU BET!!  A hug for a bike? That’s a deal!”

ENOCH- “Hey little brother... sorry I completely forgot you were coming home today. Sorry about that...

JACKSON- Daddy, mama told you at breakfast this morning and so did Granny.”

CORRINE- JACKSON!? What have I told you about interrupting adult conversations??

SETH- “It’s all good.  I got a cab. So Enoch, how are you doing? Staying clean?”

Enoch grabs Seth and pulls him to him in a hug and then whispers into his ear...Seth can smell the alcohol. He is beginning to understand why his brother lost his job at the docks.

ENOCH- “We can talk later. I don’t really want to talk about it with the little guy around.”

But Enoch’s whisper, is not a whisper...

JACKSON- “Don’t talk too much daddy, Uncle Seth is going to take me to get a new bike before the bike store closes.”

ENOCH- “So you’re rich now little brother.  What are you going to spend all that money on? The little fam needs a new house...”

CORRINE- “Enoch, I would expect that kind of rudeness from your son, but he is only seven years old!”

SETH- “Tell you what Enoch, we can discuss that when we discuss you staying clean. I mean we shouldn’t talk about all that with the little guy around, right?”
