Ideas:

A note of caution upfront. I don’t know anything about mental health or anything like that—these are just my ideas for caine actions.

In general, Caine’s program initially began to feel and have the ability to experience, but of course he doesn’t know how to process those feelings, so a crucial point is the fact that failing in his purpose affected him so much that he had to do something—he didn’t know exactly what

His abilities didn’t prepare him for anything like this, and the worst part is that when he has his violent outburst with the players, he realizes what he did was wrong but doesn’t know how to fix it.

Bubble comes in here; he is the part that Caine doesn’t express—everything Caine can’t say or even the latent impulses within him. THEY ARE ONE. I like the idea that they are each a hemisphere of the brain.

So Bubble felt how Cain was failing; he didn’t know what to do, he hated himself, and he ALSO FELT the hatred he had inside—a hatred he felt toward himself—and that's why he wanted to erase him even if he included him.

Like when you realize you’ve done something horrible and you just want to disappear.

First, I want to say that this took me longer than I expected because of exams and my constant need to keep changing things around 😑, which is why I was wondering if the next part could be more like a rough sketch😵‍💫And because this was originally going to be over 20 pages long and I cut it down😅There are a lot of parts with a lot of text, and I'm not entirely convinced—I hope that's not a problem.

I'm sorry to those who were hoping for some comfort and I've only brought more hurt. The good news is that things can only get better from here, right?

Notes:

It was really hard for me to decide on Kinger’s reaction to all this; I find it difficult to write his character. I think I want to explore Caine’s relationship with Scratch a bit later on—it’ll be somewhat challenging

I want to think that because of Kinger’s amnesia, he couldn’t understand how Caine developed over time in the circus

Also, the fact that he’ll think there was a glitch with Caine is partly right because of what he saw on the computer screen, and even though he might think it was Bubble, that doesn’t mean there couldn’t be something else affecting the circus’s performance—and by extension, Caine.These are just my thoughts for now

Any feedback is appreciated😊, and I’ll try to respond, but I can’t promise anything

PART 3

There are going to be several different perspectives, so it might be a little abrupt. I had to change the format of all the images because I couldn't upload them 😔

I'm sorry I've been gone for so long🫣. My main excuse is that I had to travel and then come back to finish up some work and give some presentations. Even though exam season hasn't started yet, that's got me a little stressed out. I was hoping to finish up all this stuff about the alternate universe before Chapter 9 came out, but I might have come up with some new ideas and changes that I kept working on.

I already have several future scenes planned out and ideas written down, I don’t know if I should continue this comic chronologically or just throw in a few scenes here and there 🤔.

I already have an idea of how this will end, though I don’t know if I’ll change it since I managed to get a movie ticket 👀and ideas might come from there… anything can happen.

I keep making spelling mistakes😅, and that’s my weak point

It was difficult for me to explore different points of view because what they said and how they expressed themselves kept changing, so I hope they’re properly characterized. The next part will explore Kinger and Ragatha’s perspectives.

The point Zooble raised is something I plan to implement, since Caine is a creative AI that adapts based on the data it acquires from each of the humans who have passed through the circus—in other words, it’s almost as if they’ve left a part of themselves behind. That’s why abstraction is also fundamental to the circus’s functioning in a certain way.

What Caine mentions about being connected to a system relates to how the entire circus is affected by his attitude, and now that he doesn’t have the same permissions as before, his connection—which used to be two-way—is now one-way.

What Bubble said about both of them being part of a decision is true; neither Bubble or Caine are the same as they were before—they are one now, whether they like it or not.

Any comments are appreciated, and I’ll keep changing my style a bit since I can’t stay consistent—I don’t like drawing backgrounds.....

Part 5: “Finding the Right Words”

I still haven't learned how to draw backgrounds, but here's the next part—and the previous ones, in case you haven't seen them yet

The next part is finally here. It really took me a while to figure out how to continue the conversation; I especially wanted to focus on Kinger and Ragatha before moving on to what comes next.

I also wanted to change the style and experiment with shadows and things like that. It’s sometimes hard to express Kinger’s emotions and then try to capture them in the drawing😅

Notes

I wanted to talk about the work Kinger was doing while at C&A, in the context of the main issue: the project and the work that everything was based on suddenly disappeared because its beta phase took the lead😵‍💫

It’s hard for me to articulate Kinger’s thoughts, but the idea is how his perspective on the concept of who Caine is begins to change, and how perhaps everything happened because Caine wasn’t just a broken machine but a being with a true personality and purpose that he masks behind his role as the circus leader.

There’s a reason why Kinger can’t remember what happened after the company began to decline because of the loss of the blue AI 👀. Another reason why Kinger starts to think more carefully—such as how the fact that they might be digital copies affects Ragatha’s psyche—is that he feels he needs to start being careful about what he says .....and it can be taken quite badly (especially if not everyone is there)

Ragatha mentions that she can’t forgive Caine, and the truth is that they’re all in a complicated situation where they need to avoid making things worse with Cain while also making him understand that what he did can’t be fixed so easily.

I also want to explore with Kinger the fact that it can be a little difficult to do things on your own. I know he always knows what to say, and maybe I’m misrepresenting him, but I want to explore how one can give advice and say things that are actually difficult to do if you try them yourself.
