        “ OH, isn’t that just RICH coming from YOU! ” INSULT GOES FLYING OVER THE CHAOTIC ENTITY’S HEAD, hyena-like laughter emitted from unholy maw of razors as he begins circling ebony ‘hog. it’s his ever prominent SHARK-LIKE behavior, yet he does not pounce like one would expect from feral being--- instead he simply continues without falling ill to dizziness, laughter finding itself bubbled down to that of incessant giggles.

        THOUGH CIRCLING DOES NOT LAST, as the golden demon is coming to halt right back where he had started--- just before shadow. with no warning does he lurch forward, arm extending in almost FEROCIOUS manner expected of him, as if he decided not to play any games and go straight to absolutely SHREDDING shadow’s throat.

        EXCEPT THAT’S NOT THE CASE AT ALL. with no regard for personal space is it surprising to see he’s simply cupping the side of shadow’s face within his hand--- specifically the side where missing eye could be seen. it’s unsettling really--- backed by the fact a PURR had escaped chaotic entity as he did so, moving closer so that faces would be mere centimeters from each other.

        “ it’s a shame, really. ” FLEETWAY SPEAKS IN LOW TONE--- alarmingly calm and fluid considering the demeanor shown only moments prior. clawed thumb is gently brushing itself over the other hedgehog’s cheek; a soft motion it was, but still held the threat of suddenly turning already gruesome injury into something even worse. “ if only i were there to have seen how you could’ve gotten this... ”

        TAME ATTITUDE IS SLOWLY GROWING MORE CORRUPT AS INTERACTION CONTINUES, yet the golden hedgehog is not making any moves to follow suit. “ though, i do wonder... ” he begins with another purr, grin widening.

        “what NOISE it would make if i POPPED that other eye RIGHT out of your pretty skull? ”

Shadow observed the fox-hedgehog hybrid with a critical gaze, from where he stood on top of the tree branch. His palm resting against the tree trunk, Shadow combed over the internal mental data that the doctor had provided him.

Yes.

This was a comrade of Sonic the Hedgehog’s.

“Mission start,” muttering to himself, Shadow moved swift from the tree branch. He had warped above the fox-hybrid’s head, and tried to swiftly cut at his throat with a spear of pure dark energy, intent on ending him quick.

Kendall “Sonic” Rennard had long since gone to bed, by the time the taller, ginger haired, lithe athletic figure of the 29 year old man, confidently strolled across his living room. He stopped in front of the corpse on the couch, obscured by a white sheet.

Idly, Ivo Robotnik checked a small device in his gloved left hand, gaze narrowed behind those purple tinted glasses,

“Ah. You’re the one giving off these energy signatures. Funny. I’ve never known a corpse to still produce such things,” his tone was casual, the sound of the device clicking closed in his hand. Ivo’s gaze flicked over to the door into Kendall’s bedroom, before looking back towards the corpse.

Reaching over, Ivo idly lifted the body into his arms, then turned, and walked forward a few paces; in the middle of his sixth step, his body faded from view in Kendall’s living room, and in the next two steps forward, Ivo was now located in one of his many, many bases.

The portal into Kendall’s home closed, Ivo set the corpse down onto a sleek operating table. He pulled the sheet away, allowing it to pool uselessly before kicking it aside. His brows lifted, at the sight of the damage on Shadow’s body. Well then.

A grin thinly pulled at Ivo’s expression. He reached over, and stuck his hand and forearm into the gaping hole in Shadow’s chest. A dark mist of energy seemed to waft from the sides of Ivo’s glasses; pooling out from his very eyes themselves as his darker energies manifested. He could feel that negative source in Shadow’s body react, and pull towards him.

Shadow’s body twitched, and Ivo watched as the wound closed around his arm, before he pulled it upwards, a thick sludge of black and purple pulling before it reformed on Shadow’s chest. The hole was gone, then. Ivo stared, an eyebrow raising. A second or two of waiting, and then it really started to kick off.

He watched, idle, as Shadow’s eye shot open, a wail of a scream ripped from the darker furred hedgehog’s throat. Ivo grabbed him by the jaw, clamped his mouth shut, and smiled down at him.

Dark energy, more of it, flowed from the point of contact between Ivo’s hand and Shadow’s mouth. Shadow’s body convulsed, that scream muffled against Ivo’s palm, as Shadow’s legs twitched and kicked to no avail. Ivo was so casually pushing more negative chaotic energy, magical energy, into Shadow’s very being: Shadow’s mind, it was cracking.

Shadow’s memories, they were breaking, being forcefully rewritten, readjusted, tampered with: beyond anything that Gerald could have ever hoped to accomplish. Shadow’s gaze dulled, that noise dying within his throat as his body stilled.

Ivo tapped his fingers against the sides of Shadow’s mouth, and considered. Now. He could heal Shadow’s injured eye, as he had done his chest. But, where would the fun in that be? After all, they’d need something to identify him by!!

He flexed his fingers, before grabbing Shadow by the jaw and forcefully shaking. Shadow’s eye shot open again, and stared up at Ivo Robotnik. Ivo considered him coldly, before he spoke; no, demanded, informed; instructed.

“Your name is Shadow. You are my servant. My weapon. You are to obey my orders. I have created you. I can just as easily destroy you. You have no friends. You have no companions. You only have me.”

Shadow stared, his eye flickering back to colour as he absorbed the information, began to commit it to memory. Ivo regarded him, then spoke,

“Relay that. Now.”

Shadow’s voice was detached, methodical, “My name is Shadow. I am your servant. Your weapon. I am to obey your orders. You have created me. You can just as easily destroy me. I have no friends. I have no companions. I only have you.”

A smile lifted to Ivo’s face, and he motioned with two fingers for Shadow to sit up, which Shadow obeyed. Ivo placed a tight grip on Shadow’s left shoulder, and leaned closer to murmur against his ear,

“I have a task for you. Your very first assignment.

You must destroy Sonic the Hedgehog and all of his companions.”

"Why do you look at me with such an expression." Something about the other, felt oddly, familiar. Had they met? No. Shadow would have remembered if they had. Still. What then, was the purpose of their staring at him in such a way. [ Open to either Harmony or Volt, left it up to you. This is under the pretense that they've seen Dominic again, after he lost his memories & such, and yes, after he tried and failed to harm them. He doesn't remember that bit. ]

     “She’s trying to decide whether or not to bite you.” The answer was an honest one from Volt, who was very tightly holding onto his daughter’s bandana. While his expression was a bit more wary, there was also a sadness upon realizing who it was and the fact that their friend still didn’t remember them.

     Harmony on the other hand was crouched low on all fours, lips pulled back to expose her clenched teeth. Thankfully there wasn’t growling, but that could change depending on what might happen next. She remembered their last encounter with Dominic, remembered it very well and did not like the fact that he had tried to attack them. It wasn’t going to happen again. Thus why she was essentially scruffed at the moment.

     “Ya better not think ‘bout tryin’ ta hurt us again or I’ll throw ya into a mountainside!”
