Large hexagons - some filled with mums in a dozen different colors and others filled with gold and a rice sheath motif. Great color combinations and a beautifully woven design. This is a fukuro obi - wide for the entire length, plain on the backside and a patterned design only on the front. There is a one yard "blank" section on the front, as is common with contemporary fukuro obi, where some cost can be saved by leaving it blank where the first wrap layer of the belt portion occurs, since it doesn't show to the public.

This eye-catching table runner was created from a vintage Japanese obi – a creative way to incorporate the traditional kimono sash into contemporary home décor. Orange, green, and gold bands create a backdrop for intricately woven golden designs and diamond shaped floral motifs.  Lovely accent colors of mauve, blue, green, and purple.  Similar on the backside except the middle section has just the solid colored bands. Length: 70" Width: 13"

This unique table runner was created from a vintage Japanese casual obi – a creative way to incorporate the traditional kimono sash into contemporary home décor. Beautifully done shibori down the center making a Japanese ivy design on a turquoise green.  Pink edges frame the center band with a lovely jacquard patterning underneath.  Same colors and jacquard on the backside, but the shibori design is only on the front.  One small light blemish near the center.
