Summary:  AU where Dean is the angel and Castiel is a hunter. Father Castiel Novak of the Vatican's 23rd 'Huntsmen' Division knows that he belongs in Hell. He isn't entirely sure what to make of the angel that pulled him out of it, or his increasingly dysfunctional fellow operatives, or the fact that it seems that he's accidentally kick-started the apocalypse. It's going to take more than prayer and salt rounds to fix up this particular mess-

Comments:  Oh man this was a great ride.  I’ve always like to see a version of Supernatural where there’s a bit more awareness of the supernatural among the general public.  I loved the characterizations of Cas and Anna and Balthazar and how they were all rebellious but in their own ways like in canon.  

Open-ended.  Why is it that when a fic is open-ended, even when it’s optimistic, it’s still like, “Welp, they’re screwed”?  

Read the fic tags.  Possibly offensive if the reader is religious (primarily Christian, less so other Abrahamic beliefs)?

I like to think that eventually they go through enough cycles that humanity and the angels figure it out and then God gives Cas’ soul back to Dean with like all his memories in tact and they live happily ever after in heaven lalalalalala.

As the year comes to an end, it'€™s time to reflect on past misgivings. Sadly, I had done nothing of importance to be considered for the Top 20 Under Twenty before I turned 20...
