Their relationship is very strained. Mel is always crossing boundaries and CN is just very angry at the world. CN is an evil genius who is constantly making evil plans (usually including classic clown gags) that always backfire. Due to her being a bad person, it usually takes quite a long time for anyone to recover her, so Mel gets a lot of time with her. She’s happy to have it even though CN forgets it every time. Mel is probably the only person CN can open up to. Mel honestly longs for the day that CN can finally die for good so they can be friends for good. However, when stretches between recovery become longer and longer, CN gets sadder and sadder and less comfortable with Mel, leading to the strain in their relationship.
