Why Dragon Scale's/Cinder's Age Regression Means So Much To Me and Why I'm Glad It Exists. ★-Appreciation post !! (Spoilers)

Objectified is an object show comic set in The Apocalypse. It follows several different stories that interlap through the course of its chapters but today I'm just going to be talking about Dragon Scale and her story!!
Dragon scale is my favorite character She's a good representation of someone who wants to help but doesn't know how to. Someone who wants to numb the pain they feel and someone who age regresses plus so much more !! While age regression isn't the main part of her story it is a big significant part. She is shown to be the most comfortable when she regresses like a lot of people and her wife (Who has sadly passed on) Was her caregiver!! So now she is stuck without her partner / caregiver in this apocalyptic wasteland. Which Is scary for anyone, Little or Not.
The reason Dragon scales age regression means so much to me as an age aggressor is the shame that comes with it. People in society see people who are different in immediately assume the worst. They assume that we're Pedos, Groomers, You Name It. But we're not!! Dragon scale has actually been shown to also struggle that same societal shame people who refuse to do research and just assume the worst put on us. Granted these words aren't coming from other people but probably did in the past when she would look online for explanations on her age regression.
Another part of Dragon scales age regression that I appreciate quite a lot is the fact it isn't sexual trauma. I'm not trying to diminish anyone who has sexual trauma at all but I personally haven't experienced it that I can recall. So seeing someone who age regresses because of similar trauma to mine makes me feel very seen. I'm not saying if you regress because of sexual trauma it makes it wrong I'm just simply stating that it makes me feel a little bit outcasted when all headcanons relate to sexual trauma most of the time. That I like the different varieties that have been coming up in media as of late.
She is also shown to enjoy online spaces and struggle with herself worth. She might get distracted or might even mess up severely but she truly has a good heart.
She is and I mean this in the most loving way possible a Dork. I don't often feel this seen with characters But it feels like she was designed after me. Made to be a love letter to people like me. And that's what I appreciate most about her. People don't understand why representation matters but this is why. This is why representation matters because I am sitting here trying not to ball my eyes out because I finally found a character who feels like me. I've had characters I related to. Had characters I liked. But never felt like a character was just like me.
So thank you objectified crew and thank you to whoever might have inspired dragon scale. You've given a character so much love and appreciation that it feels like a love letter straight to my heart. I hope whoever helped inspire dragon scale or helped create her gets a million kisses on their face!!
But Uh yeah. That's why I like dragon scale!!
