hermione didn't have the best experiences with slytherins throughout the years & jennifer was no different. though, jennifer was mostly a lovely girl in all aspects — a friendship just couldn't bloom due to her social circle. there were times that hermione wished that things in wizarding world weren't still so prejudice but, with the dark lord risen, everything was different. most say it felt as it did during the first wizarding war while others say it feels much more... dreadful. ' i'll have you know that i do not find transfiguration boring... i just— it's been hard getting sleep now-a-days, ' hermione huffed as she angrily began to scribble down a sentence. though, it could've been sworn she almost cracked a smile. hermione had made a face at jennifer's words. she wasn't the type to worry about others as competition, especially since she knew that no one could compete with her. call it cocky but hermione wasn't dumb; she knew she was the brightest of her age. ' very funny, but, no. i'm just impressed. there's not many who can achieve an outstanding in all their O.W.L.S. ' besides herself, of course. there was a sigh that had escaped her as she had opened her textbook to the chapter that mcgonagall recently covered. Jen almost laughed as Hermione tried to assure that she wasn’t as bored as her current studying counterpart was, but she held it together to save face for Hermione. She didn’t want to make her Saturdays a living Hell. “You’ve read reviews on my circle? Wow, I'm flattered.” She said, eyeing her still with the mischievous smirk. She held back the urge to kick her under the table-- just a light tap on the ankle or something-- to get a rise out of her when she saw the face Hermione made at a notion of competition.

“You’ve read reviews on my group and are impressed with my O.W.L.S.? If I wasn’t mistaken I would say that you were a fan of mine.” She laughed. She sent a teasing wink Hermione's way before looking back down to her textbook, flipping to the chapter. She groaned, her interest in the topic going out the window. “Hermione, we’ve already covered that. Next topic.” She said and flipped through the book, finally stopping a couple hundred pages in. “Now, here is something much more interesting.” She grinned. “Advanced Jinxes and reversals.” She read aloud. “Come on, ‘Mione, catch up. Page six-hundred and eight.” She snapped her fingers in a playful manner.
