I recently had one. I tried to distract myself with other things, but my thought would meander and eventually arrive back at square one. So, I pretended that my (imaginary) friend had the crisis, and I had to help her out. I wrote this message to her: Okay. So, you're questioning the purpose of your existence. You have accepted the fact that this world is too big for you to matter, so there's no point trying. So, you're just going to give up? You're not even going to try? There's one thing that you're forgetting. If you at least try to matter; try to make a difference, you will impact a few lives. Yeah, it won't be the entire universe, but you're only one person. And besides, we're talking lives here! Every single life is precious! If you've impacted even a single life, you've achieved something, and that gives you a right to be happy. You've got one life. Then there's a void of nothingness. You have to work hard and try to change the aspects of the world that you want to and change as many lives as you can. This is your goal. This actually really helped me. Thanks wikihow for the suggestion!
