"----The aftermath is secondary."
“Are you only going to stare at me like an idiot for a century, or do you posses vocal chords?”

Orion looked over at the other, he shrugged, “I think sometimes the law needs to be broken.” He thought of the times he had been forced to break the law to survive.
❝...The law exists for a reason, and 's n-not so it can be broken.❞ Alfie is a very strong believer in following the rules. ❝I m-mean, without rules, everything would just b-be chaos.❞

Alfie’s freshman year was not going very well. Sure, he’d managed to get on the Varsity soccer team, swim team, cross country, and track as well as being able to keep up with homework in all honors classes, but he was not doing very well in the area of making friends. In fact, whenever he tried, he managed to make even more people dislike him. Eventually, he simply stopped trying; people had begun to bother him at school, so instead, he tried to disappear. Despite the fact that he had the highest grades in the entire freshman class, he never answered questions in class, and he never volunteered to help the teacher with anything; he avoided people in the hallways, he always sat in the back… He tried his best to stay invisible. Unfortunately, it didn’t seem to work. He was still harassed daily, normally by the same group of blokes. He’d been beaten up several times; usually, it would happen after school, sometimes in the locker room after soccer practice— He tried to brush it off like it was nothing, like it didn’t upset him at all; he did a very good job of convincing himself and everyone around him that he was okay. It was a Friday, and school had just ended; Alfie, fortunately, didn’t have anything going on, so he was trying to get home as fast as he could so that perhaps he could go a day without getting bothered. He was waiting for his sister to pick him up, and he was sitting on a bench, trying to make himself as unnoticeable as possible by turning slightly away from the other kids who were waiting for their parents and by putting a rather large book in front of his face. Out of the corner of his eye, he sees the group of guys who normally bullied him; he pushed his glasses farther up his nose and ducked his head down slightly.
