Apologies in advance if this comes out sounding unbearably cheesy/cringe or like some form of writerly pretentiousness (it may very well be the former; I promise it is not the latter, as I barely consider myself to be a writer in the first place), but…
Yesterday was the first Wednesday in two months without a Guthláf and Wídfara chapter to share. That’s a good thing — I finished that story, and I’m actually pretty proud of it? — but it also makes me kind of sad. I love those two guys, who are so barely canon that they’re basically all mine, and I spent SO many enjoyable hours with them as I planned and wrote and edited. And now I miss them. A lot. Does anyone else get this sort of hangover feeling when you finish a project?
(Also, I got a LOT of new followers in the last two days because of an off-hand joke I made about the Tolkien fandom. Apologies to those folks, because this is much more representative of what I do here, i.e., nattering on about little-known Rohirrim who exist in canon but not by much.)
