I once saw a turtwig evolve spontaneously while playing in the park. It had a little pink bow tied around its twig, and it looked so crestfallen when the bow fell off and its trainer couldn’t tie it back on. The trainer put it in his pocket, though, and promised to buy a longer ribbon to tie into a bow for the grotle.

Sure can!

The Knight of Space is slightly reserved, often hiding behind a facade of skill and arrogance, yet always tries to make the best out of a situation. The definition of making something from nothing, the Knight is a valuable asset to any team, though they would need to learn how and when to let their guard down. The Mage of Rage, on the other hand, would be plagued by fits possibly of paranoia or anger, making them unpredictable and likely causing them to isolate themselves. The Mage needs to learn how to relax and how to use their experiences with Rage for the benefit of all.

In terms of a relationship between the two, I can see a flushed red romance between them! The Knight is down to earth enough to be a kind of anchor for the Mage, and the Mage would be able to use their subsequent understanding of the stubborn nature of Rage (and their partner!) to help the Knight.

Of course, it mostly depends on personalities, but hopefully this is a good indicator!

Just wanted to let you know something I found out about some ghost pokemon as I have a few and we have a few adoptable ghosts at the sanctuary. NEVER give them tootsie rolls or taffee of ANY kind! I just got done cleaning that $#!% off the walls of our graveyard themed playroom. Arsenic my Gengar is one of the culprits and he got the younger ghosts to do it as well. Turns out they chewed it up so they could stick it on EVERYTHING

Hi Professor! I have a few different pokemon and just recently I adopted a Trubbish named Henry! However my Tentacruel, the Madame, does not seem to get along with him much. He is not allowed to come near her. It is strange because she normally is so nice to young pokemon. Henry gets along well with my Muk, Slushie, and many of my other pokemon but not her. What should I do?

Well, before I address the main problem, I just want to make sure that Slushie isn’t an Alolan muk. As Alolan muk prey on trubbish, it could be dangerous to keep them together without constant supervision-- no matter how well-trained Slushie is, it still might go after Henry. Muk from other parts of the world do not eat trubbish, so if Slushie isn’t Alolan, there shouldn’t be an issue, but I just wanted to make sure you knew.

Now, regarding the Madame. Not every pokémon minds the smell of trubbish, but it’s the most likely cause for her reaction to Henry, given that this behavior is out of character for her. Unfortunately, despite common belief, it’s not as simple as “trubbish stop producing odours when they make a friend”; rather, trubbish produce bad smells as an unconscious defense mechanism, so if Henry feels unsafe around the Madame, he will not be able to stop producing the odours, and the cycle will perpetuate itself. I think the best thing you can do in this situation is allow the Madame time to adjust to a trubbish in the household, while scheduling short and supervised interactions between them. Keep Henry in his Poké Ball while the Madame is in the room outside of these interactions, until she starts getting used to him and is able to handle his presence. It can help if you feed her her favorite treats during the interactions, so that she learns to associate Henry’s presence with something good. Over time, she will become used to him, and he will be able to feel safe in her presence.

Thank you Professor! I will keep you updated on the results! Slushie is not an Alolan Muk. We do have one here at the sanctuary (I run a pokemon sanctuary here in Unova and we get pokemon from all over) but he (his name is Licorice) is not allowed to see Henry without supervision. I wondered about the Madame's sense of smell. I will try your suggestions!

I’m glad to hear that! I just thought I’d make sure, since not everyone knows that the Alolan muk’s diet is different to the standard muk’s.

I hope it works out for you! Many people don’t realize that tentacool and tentacruel can smell, as they don’t possess lungs or a respiratory system. However, their nervous system, simple as it is, gives them the ability to smell, detect light, and react to stimuli.

Have you noticed that Unown seem to be very social pokemon? We have one named Duckie who was kicked out of their family group. Duckie is a shiny and it appears the other unown may have been worried about predators. A local daycare dropped off some abandoned unowns and Duckie became so happy! Do you think this is something true about unowns in general?

Well, as I’ve said, I don’t know much about unown-- although you seem to have found a golden opportunity to research them!-- but from what I do know about the species, that would be an accurate assumption. Considering that individual unown are weak, but an alphabet can be extremely powerful, it would make sense that they would be social creatures.
