And tho I know the main thing of OBX is the Pogues, I wish Drew would more included in promo photoshoots and interviews, it would be nice to see them ALLL together doing their thing

*rewatching OBX so here I come with my stupid theories*

So remember that thing everyone was saying that each season will be focused on each Pogue? Like s1 was John B and s2 was Pope

My theory is: season 3 might be focused on Kiara because  1. from the bts videos going around showing Kie with Rafe “together” maybe we’ll finally get to know more about her Kook year 2. Kie’s parents had threatened her with sending her to boarding school or something and since the pogues apparently will go back to the OBX maybe we’ll see some (re)bonding between them  3. Tho I absolutely haaaattteeeee the idea of Jiara I think they’ll show us (or at least should) her developing some feelings or coming to terms with it. If they do make Jiara happen I’m just hoping that they slow it down and don’t make them suddenly fall in love (like seriously they already enough problems and traumas, they don’t need a romantic drama to add to it)

I don’t think jiara has any romantic connection at all. When I watched season one I didn’t even think to believe they would be shipped together. Then to see them being shipped I was like……weird. Idk, maybe it’s because I’m older that their kind of friendship is normal to me bc I could see how younger people would see a relationship but I see them as strictly friends. I think bc they argue the most that people still have it in there minds that they must actually like each other

This exactly!!!! The first time I watched OBX I didn't even think about the possiility of Jiara becoming a thing until I went to instagram, I just don't see JJ and Kie's relationship as anything else but platonic

Ok so I just finished rewatching season 2 aaaaand I realized: maybe, whatever mental problem Rafe has, Ward has it too. 

Maybe not as severe as Rafe and under much more control, but I noticed along season 2 that he tends to have some sort of loss of reality just like Rafe has in extreme situations. 

My “theory” is that Ward is aware of his problem and refuses to accept his son has it too and maybe that’s why he has always ignored his psychotic behaviors (like Rose mentioned “since he was 10″) and when Rafe admits he’s not ok he’s just told to ”man up.”. You can see in the last episode when Ward is chocking Sarah it ressembles a lot to when Rafe did the same, and when Rose is planning to leave after the cops went to their house how lost in reality Ward looks. And then when Rafe is telling Ward he’s “gonna be a better man, like you”, Ward shakes his head almost like a “no I don’t want you to be like me.”

I reeeeeaaalllly wanna see how those characters would develop in next seasons. I know they’re terrible and all that but it would be interesting to dig deeper into that. I definitely wanna see it.
