You mentioned Onyx had a sister in one of your posts- Can we hear about her?

She belongs to my good friend @monakaliza (or @forthecrownanimation ) and I’ll talk about what I know about her. (Mona if you want to reblog and take over, go for it lmao! /np)

Ruby is Onyx’s twin sister and is 13 minutes older. They’re identical twins (Onyx is trans!). She’s a very skilled witch and works with spirits and deities, loves the Halloween sections for cheap witchy-stuff and the classic witch aesthetic. When she and her friend Azrail get together, they’re a formidable pair who know handle most, if not all, situations they get into. She’s a good person, too, and tries her best! She and Onyx grew apart after Onyx broke up with his boyfriend, and he refuses to remove his mask or let down his guard around her. Since he doesn’t speak, she doesn’t know what happened to them. Onyx used to go into the woods and bring back animal bones for her, and even when he wasn’t a believer, he didn’t ridicule the practice. Nowadays he rolls his eyes so much it’s a wonder how they haven’t got stuck. They’re slowly getting better at least, but Onyx has built high walls and would rather stay inside them than go along with Ruby’s attempts to break them down.

I noticed something on Oynx’s ref- there’s a Jackie and a Marvin pin on him. Does that mean Oynx is in the same universe as the egos are? Or was it just a fun Easter egg?

Aaa, you noticed! I've been waiting for someone to notice! :D

It was mostly just a fun Easter egg, but I imagined Onyx being in the same universe when I added them! He wears pins and badges for what he supports, and I think he would be pro-hero for their vigilante stance.

If I ever get around to drawing some of my comic ideas, they'll probably make an appearance!

Does Onyx have any pets? <3

He does!

He has a red morph corn snake named Scarlet and a pastel calico Norwegian forest cat (quite the mouthful, lmao) named Maisie!

They're both rescues since Onyx always spends their weekends working at animal shelters! He was doing regular shifts at the cat rescue and had seen Maisie every day. She was around twelve years old, and younger cats tend to be adopted rather than the seniors, plus she is missing an eye and an ear from her time in the streets and has a very croaky meow. Onyx would always stay late cuddling with her because she did tend to get ignored despite her being a massive lovebug, and he just adored her. He ended up adopting her because he knows how it feels, and now she's a very spoiled queen!

Scarlet's story is pretty similar! Onyx was doing a one-off volunteering shift at a reptile shelter and came across her after she was surrendered by her previous owners. He spent all of their free time that day just hanging out with her and ended up with her chilling around his neck by the afternoon. They went home, researched properly, bought everything he needed via the shelter's recommendation and adopted her once she had healed enough!

Onyx also feeds stray cats, and Ruby taught him how to befriend corvids when they were younger! He adores animals so much and can, and has, take any animal that he sees is being mistreated.

Is Caelan Onyx’s bestie from that one drawing?

Yep, he is!

(Old art) This is his first design for a universe belonging to one of my friends. He's about 22-25 in my universes! With the same falcon design, just missing the horns, patterns, and brand on his chest. Also a shirt, that's important, too.

He's far more sociable and charismatic than Onyx, and he does all the talking between them, but they're thick as thieves and love each other like brothers. Caelan was the first person Onyx showed what his now-ex had done to him, and they could tell each other anything. They usually end up trespassing somewhere and actually met when they were both checking out the same abandoned hospital, and Caelan stuck by them because he wasn't scared and there's safety in numbers. Plus he was like "FELLOW PUNK?!" when he saw them, so it was an instant friendship.

Most of the time they have the "Someone will die—" "OF FUN!" vibe.

Can we hear some fun facts about Levi? Not a lot of people seem to ask about him-

Sure! He's one of my favourites.

- He has heterochromia, with his right eye being light blue and the right dark brown.

- In his youth, he was appointed as one of three researchers into a classified disease that (unknowing to him at the time) was purposely released on a secluded community by the military to test its capabilities. It was a disease named Red Flower where plants and flowers rapidly started growing from the body after being inhaled, and it had a sort of Hanahaki disease result. The flowers turned red when they had access to the bloodstream, hence the name, and it indicated how much time the subject had left. - His first patient was a young girl, and he got to know her personally. He used to say his blue eye was his magic eye, and he could see fairies and ghosts with it. - Even though the patients were more and more dehumanised with each "replacement subject", he has a butterfly tattoo for each patient he lost down his left arm.

- Levi despises flowers and used to toss any Clyde brought into the office in the bin! He stopped doing it eventually, but he still prefers cacti.

- He has an oriental cat named Bat, who often hangs around his shoulders. They both have the same grumpy face.

- He loves apple pie, and it's always a good way to win him over!

- Levi's joints locked up on a mission once, and he got kidnapped by the enemy because of it. Lucas and Sage restricted him from going on missions after he was rescued so he would stay safe. Levi's a stubborn ass who still wanted to help and get back at the enemy, so he stole one of Ty's guns and followed them on every mission. He put on a plague doctor mask, a fedora, and a suit and would snipe any enemy from someplace high-up. Lucas had no idea who he was at the time, and they dubbed him "the doctor of death". Sage figured it out when Levi knew details of missions he would have no way of knowing, but he didn't confront him. Levi outed himself when he saw Sage in trouble and rushed in to help him, and then Sage called him by his name before he could run off again!

- He's a stickler for organisation and gets visibly agitated if anything is out of place. Messing up his workspace is essentially like asking to be punched because he will notice if anything is out of place.

- Levi's love language is taking care of someone, whether it be small chores, straightening their outfit or hair, or just refilling their water bottle.

Thinking a little bit.

Xavier honestly hates being nobility; they never got a chance to actively choose it for themself, they were born into it. The weight of expectation was always heavy on them growing up, from their mother insisting that she drop the tomboy behaviours and just be a "proper lady" (context; Xavier was born intersex and as a child decided to ID as a girl, because that's closest to how they felt, but Ishgard being a theocracy with a very strict gender binary meant they never got to truly understand themself as intersex or nonbinary until later - they still do not consider themself strictly female or male biologically nor do they identify with any real descriptor other than 'non-binary') to being expected to have an arranged marriage. It was only after running away and their mother's death that she was able to find the freedom to embrace it for themself. Taking over their father's governing job so that he could retire was their choice, and one that they consider to be a heavy burden. But she's determined to do the best job of it that she can, and take care of the people under her charge.

One thing that their mother's abuse gave them was a genuine hatred of resource hoarders and exploitation, and a role model on how NOT to be as a noble.

Vanille, on the other hand, married into nobility from common birth and made that choice every time, with full knowledge of the weight it would have. But she loves Xavier, and even though she's uncomfortable with the idea of holding power I think she's actually taken much more easily to it than Xavier has. Although she slips back into Lowborn Syntax when she's flustered, she's a bit of a social chimera. She went into it knowing what she was getting into and has people around her (specifically her spouse and her father in law, who adores her and is glad to see his offspring Not Depressed For Once) to help her adjust and learn the ropes. Her genuine enjoyment of spreadsheets and organizing probably also helps and takes a load off of Xavier.

I think the worst any of the people they govern could really say about them is that they're kind of capricious and the center of a lot of gossip, being pretty notoriously swingers (from an outside view they come across as swingers; in reality the two are just polyamorous and have an open relationship where they can each have individual relationships or flings outside of each other; bringing anyone into the polycule proper requires discussion). One thing is for sure is that life in the town they manage is never boring with the Haywards around, and in the rough year since taking the title Xavier's put in an aetheryte, funded magitek greenhouses for the farmers, and repaved the roads and re-roofed the orphanage. This set them back financially quite a bit, but they consider it worth the effort.

But I've been listening to Izzzyzzz's videos and/or Buzzfeed Unsolved in the background! He does take hours, but I'm always proud of the result :D
