Eerie x New Mermaid!Reader x Caspian

Your siren mates decide it's finally time for you to learn how to swim with your new tail.

"You can do it, our treasure. Caspian is right there." Eerie whispers, encouraging you to swim to your other mate. You whine uncomfortably, still not used to your tail as Caspian had only turned you a few days prior. The siren in question coos at you from his spot within their dark sea lair, coaxing you to swim to him without the aid of either one of your mates for the first time. 

“Just like we’ve been practising, do what I do.” Eerie had your back pressed against his chest, his tail flush against your own to allow you to feel and mimic the movements his tail was doing to keep you both afloat. Your mates had awoken you earlier, declaring you were to learn how to swim today and had since been using their tails to stimulate the same motions of swimming with your own, only now had they decided you were ready to swim by yourself. 

“Come now, pearl”, Caspian watches you with a smile that any human would find startling as he beckons you towards him. “Swim to me.”

Eerie suddenly let go of you and moves back to where you could no longer reach him. You wear a panicked expression on your face at the loss of contact and struggle to keep yourself stationary in the water. It was difficult to move your tail; you couldn’t understand how Eerie and Caspian made it look so easy. Your first attempt to swim to Caspian did not go as planned. You try to mimic the motions Eerie had been teaching you, but cannot make your tail flow as seamlessly as he had. You quickly start to drop through the water, sinking as your rigid movements pull you down. Eerie shushes your whimpers as he gently drops down to your level to place his hands on your hips and guide you back up to your starting position before letting you go again. Your second attempt wasn’t much better. You start to move your tail with more force, prompting your whole body to lurch, but instead of moving forward, you slam straight back into Eerie. Caspian snickers at the scene, his mischievous melody that would normally make you smile, now making you flush with embarrassment and hide your face in your hands. 

Your third and final time was when you shot yourself forward. You were as clumsy as ever; however, you made it into Caspian’s waiting arms, earning yourself a sweet Eskimo kiss. You sigh in your mate’s arms, drained after that trial and error. You feel your other mate behind you, his sharp nail gently tracing down your spine to where your tail starts as a means to relax you. 

“Astounding work, Pearl! I’m so proud of you.” Caspian gushes, twirling with you in his arms. Eerie, the calmer of the two, places a silent kiss on your shoulder in approval of your success. “I believe our treasure has tired herself out.”

Caspian looks down at you at Eerie’s words, nodding in agreement. “She should rest, there’s plenty more lessons to come.” Caspian swims towards the coral cave inside their lair, where you occasionally like to nap. You deserve some sleep; this was only your first lesson anyway.
