“I will take you there, then. To Otherearth,” decided King Atuill. 

His words held no waver or hesitation as he spoke. “The place is abandoned, filled with dread and foreign objects collectively made by equally dreadful people—but — I will accompany you there if it is what you desire.”

A smile stretched its way across Enbella’s lips, for her longing to face the unknown outweighed any dreadful views that Otherearth could possibly have in store. 

They would go, and they would survive, together.

ENBELLA + IMMORTALITY / excerpt from my current wip “Daughter of Ash and Light” wip page

“You must be kidding?” exclaimed Lavanor, a slight air of disbelief to his tone. “You’re immortal! That is — well — that’s amazing, how did you think I could be upset by such a statement?”

“You’re not upset? I thought—”

“Well, Enbella, you thought wrong. Human’s aren’t exactly praised around here, at least not anymore. ” 

She saw him glance at her unelven-like ears in speculation, or so she assumed. “How is this possible…please don’t tell me you’re a goddess next.”

Enbella laughed, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear. “No, no, definitely no goddess. I still don’t know what my race is for certain, or why I’m immortal…but I just know that in two days’ time I will be fifty, and I like that number a lot.”
