💡Describe your character’s nose.
On the outside, Cyd’s nose is fairly similar to a human’s. Long and straight, slightly wider at the tip than the bridge, and somewhat upturned. Her nostrils are long, somewhat narrow ovals that gently curve toward each other, and on close inspection they might seem a bit too perfectly symmetrical compared to a human’s.
On the inside, her nose is very different. Instead of hair or other natural defenses, Cyd’s nose contains a series of mesh filters that become denser the farther inside they are. These filters can be replaced, but they’re also designed to be self-cleaning, as Cyd will sneeze if too much dust or other particulates get into her nose.
Farrah’s nose is very wide and rounded at the tip, as well as being notably upturned. Her nostrils are fairly large and teardrop-shaped, and one is slightly narrower than the other. They also tend to flare rather enormously when she’s emotional (or about to sneeze), much to her embarrassment.
🚰How does your character handle a stuffy or runny nose?
Cyd can’t get a stuffy or runny nose the same way a human does, but the filters in her nostrils can become saturated with dust an other contaminants if she doesn’t get proper maintenance. Her voice is also completely synthesized, so she doesn’t suffer from a “stuffy voice,” but she sniffles and rubs her nose to indicate when her nose is in need of care. She also has a tendency to suffer sneezing fits if her filters are sufficiently blocked.
Farrah’s reaction can vary greatly depending on the severity of her stuffiness. A few sneezes and sniffles will hardly even slow her down, and she may only take a moment to quickly wipe her nose with a tissue. However, if she catches a cold, or when her seasonal allergies act up in the fall, she might take a whole day to recover and mope around. Part of her will always want to lay in bed blowing her nose constantly until she feels better, but if she has an important project to finish, she has a habit of plugging her nostrils with a pair of tissues and trying to suffer through it.
