A game - that's like a logic puzzle, right?

Melissa isn't used to playing with other kids at break. Before befriending Renee and Florrie, she usually spent that time reading.

Florrie will blurt out what she's thinking without considering whether it will hurt people's feelings. Really, Melissa shouldn't care that she's bad at lying because she disapproves of it anyway, but some part of her just wants to be good at everything.

Renee is just enjoying the opportunity to be a troll.

Lowkey inspired by this Family Guy cutaway gag. Melissa is the type to take voting very seriously. Florrie is... not. Renée is used to her friends by now.

(Now I'm thinking about later on when women become eligible for jury duty, and how pissed off Melissa would be if one of the others got picked before her...)

Florrie is the token straight friend, and she has not grown out of her 'boy crazy' phase. Renée is often amused by her antics. Melissa finds the smell of cologne more irritating than appealing - except for one particular sort, which just makes her sad.

Inspired, of course, by this scene in Wicked.

Florrie is back! She's supposed to be a bit taller than the other two, but I don't think I managed to make the difference noticeable. This is shortly after Melissa gives Renée the ribbon. I thought since Melissa's in Grammar Police mode, I'd include her dictionary.

Recently realised the excellent comedic potential between these three. (Also first time I've drawn adult Florrie!)

Don't be fooled: Renée is secretly the number one appreciator of Melissa's inability to let people be wrong in peace.
