Ginny being dennis the menace as a kid is killing meeeeee oml 😭 how come she doesn't remember being in the woods but Solanas does?
She got lost in the forest when she was 9 and was "rescued" by a park ranger 3 weeks later and had to be hospitalized for her asthma. Of course she tried to tell everyone about the magic garden and Solanis and what happened while she was missing, but who would ever believe that? They assume it's just some sort of trauma response and eventually, after being spoonfed the same explanation over and over by doctors and her parents, she replaced it with the false memory of "something bad and scary happened in the woods". It altered her personality a lot afterwards, making her a very strict, whimsy-less rule follower so that the "bad thing" can't happen to her again.
Solanis, on the other hand, is a basically immortal being who's thousands of years old. 24 years is barely anything to him. It may have taken him a moment to recognize his cute little troublemaker all grown up, but the memory of Ginny is still very fresh in his mind.
