I changed Rex’s main color scheme from red to brown but to keep some of the vibes I shifted the original browns in his design to be more red I LOVE COLOR THEORY!!! ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

Now I need to figure out how to redesign Hall……. They were originally supposed to be renaissance ish but then I started to associate them more with modern art. But now I’m like what if I lean more into the prehistoric theming and they’re cave art instead. Ough

Though both characters were humans living on modern earth at some point. Well maybe like 2010s

But the name Hall is supposed to evoke the imagery of a wall with framed artwork on it so maybe not. But maybe I’ll change both their names….. Wreck and Hue???

Changing rex and hall I lot I mean I said that already but.

Rex:

-Less like a man and more like a genderless dog thing, he/it. Was still physically forced to take a more masculine form but socially there wasn’t much incentive for it to become a Man. Still transmasc tho

-Maybe removing the bright red clothes and replacing them with something duller/more natural or abstract? I had a dream I drew him as a caveman type thing who wore ragged spotted furs and a crown made of teeth and animal jawbones maybe I can do something with that LOL. Will still have a collar motif but maybe more metaphorical than a literal collar

-Instead of being aggressive/a fighter it was given more of a confused dog mind. Still bites sometimes tho

Hall:

-Also not a man anymore, decided they eventually realize that they are abstractfluid (a gender made of shapes and colors that changes between colors and designs), and use ae/aer/any neutral pronouns.

-Removing the giant frame and instead giving ae smaller frame motifs all over the design. The arm remains messed up but instead of gore I’m thinking of abstracting the shapes of it. The drippy paint parts might be replaced with abstracted parts too. I kinda want them to look more like a stylized representation of a human rather than literally a human

-Might shift their color palette around kinda want xem to be greener. That one painting I did of em was pretty green but the ref looks more regular blue and it’s off to me

-Because of the gender change I think I’m gonna give them magic estrogen. They look more ambiguous in appearance and may get boobs. Or one boob…
