I would literally jump off of a cliff for Isla, she’s a frickin’ cutie patootie. PLEEAAASEEE tell us more about her. I’d also love to see how the kiddos interact with each other, i’m so so SOOOO EXCITED for more content!

Isla is actually partly based off of a child I used to work with. She was an adorable, smiley little Ukrainian girl who would melt your heart. She knew English well enough that she would respond and clearly understand you, she was just very quiet and didn't speak much (although Isla is full on pre-verbal, as opposed to quiet).

My main goal with creating Isla was to make a bubbly, curious and intelligent child who just so happens not to speak. There is often a perception that there is something "wrong" with a child who can't yet speak, or that it's perhaps a sign of their cognitive ability. Isla is there to squash that idea!

I kinda wanna talk about one of my splat one OCs

When I read the manga, my first OCs were Plum, Grape and Mint, though Mint is the only remaining one I kept.

However, before that, there was Isla. Isla is my original-2015-splatsona. She loved quick respawn, used the orange nzap, but later on would use the .52 Gal and the heavy splatling remix. And occasionally tempered dynamo.

Isla loves to watch battles, especially ranked; she wasn’t very capable of playing ranked, her lack of direction makes it rather difficult, as does her poor communication skills for a team based game.

Eventually she becomes friends with Neri, and whoever my octoling is, though I think it’ll be Ellie.

How is Ainsley doing is she better? Is she out of the hospital yet? If not how many days dose she have left for treatment?

Hey there,

She’s doing much better with this treatment! She only has to go for it two times a week and it’s done at night while she’s sleeping, so she gets to be at home and out of the hospital during the day. She’s still not healthy enough to go back to school, but she only has two more weeks worth of treatment.

Hello,

Toby and I tried to explain it to her as best we could. We talked with her doctor about how to tell her because she won’t fully understand all the medical speak behind it yet. For now we told her that she some bad cells attacking her body that are preventing her from feeling her best and that’s why she had to go to the hospital and get tests/treatment. We explained the kind of treatment she’ll get and all the side effects she could have from it, she understands that she’ll have to go through some hard times to get better, but she wants to get better and has made that clear to us.

First of all, thank you haha, I think Bryleigh and Oakley will just call me auntie Isla, though. Gran-aunt makes me sound ancient. 😅

We’re proud of our boys for the most part with how they’re crafting their lives. It’s amazing to see them as young men now and we’re happy with their partners, too, they’re all great kids. Ainsley is a bit sad that the boys are around a lot less but she gets along really well with Gemma, when they are home they always make sure to tell her goodnight, which is so sweet of them. ❤❤ Gemma on the other hand sees the boys as her younger parents, hahah so they just help out with her mostly if theyre around and she loves when they baby sit because they let her watch later cartoons and drink more juice than Toby or I would, but that’s okay as a treat once in a while. 😅❤
