because i haven’t posted drawings here in a while, here's some human Lousene

trying to think of why lousene is indebted to maurisol. because i have a backwards ass way of making characters and stories and typically will have ideas i like, and then it takes me literal years to expand on them (like at the moment idk what vonkeller did to make harriette want to make him miserable, but she just does!)

maybe louie has a family member who has some rare illness and maurisol is all that’s keeping them alive. or maybe louie himself is sick. but i think if the choice was for he himself to suffer or to hurt other people to stay alive, he would just..die lol. because he is very self-loathing and has always been, even before getting involved with maurisol. but he cares deeply for other people, despite trying to shut off any empathy

anyway, i want to keep a fairytale element, and part of me feels like that would best be done by keeping things vague. but i think knowing just why louie is collecting literal hearts for maurisol is..important...

i think he works under my uni, making deadly concoctions for shady individuals. and he’s not super proud about it

i’m going to try putting character info on this blog as it comes to me. it will be very stream of consciousness because if i pause to think of how to make something sound nice, i’ll lose it completely lol

anyway i want Maurisol to be very Grimm’s fairy tales. so far i’ve decided that he has a large garden in which he grows many strange plants, but he’s especially fond of toxic and deadly ones. he and his garden are enchanted and require blood to stay alive and flourishing... 

the longer Maurisol goes without blood (maybe hearts specifically), the more he withers and his skin starts to resemble tree bark

my moehog Lousene is indebted to him for some reason i haven’t thought up yet, and along with creating medicines and poisons from plants, he’s also tasked with bringing prey to the garden. this weighs on him a lot, naturally, so he’s tried to separate himself from the people he meets by adopting a very apathetic and unfriendly demeanor (but he’s a sensitive boy on the inside)
