She’s done! My first giant plushie is finally done!!
This is Nettle Vienna, a mascot OC designed by Nana-Yuka on behalf of Café Jsjaj, who commissioned me to bring this version of her to life. She stands roughly three feet, a.k.a. 90 cm, tall, has a removable, rotating head, and features two storage compartments designed with beverages in mind!
The pipe joint in her neck holds a single can or small bottle, and is also what gives her head its mobility. Her midsection is hollow and can hold an additional six standard soda or cider cans. Unfortunately, I can’t show you the inside, because the access point is in a... very NSFW location. (Hey, it was the easiest place to conceal a zipper!)
The inner compartment is made of camp foam (which, as an added bonus, provides some thermal insulation), and the whole plushie has a simple PVC ‘skeleton’ to hold up the contents. Her hooves are lined with plastic to give them flatness and to give her balance without any additional weight. My records got pretty spotty towards the end, but I worked on her for an estimated 120 total hours. The pattern is from PlanetPlush, scaled up to about 4x the default size.
This plushie took me some serious experimentation, all of which is logged on my Patreon. Access to the 22 posts documenting her creation can be yours for just $1 a month!
