You see one day I thought to myself "I could write some horrific thalmor x stormcloak toxic yuri if I wanted to" because nobody ever does it the way I like it but since I'm trying to keep my OC count for the Skyrim fic low (so that I can focus on utilizing the NPCs more), it remained a thought until I wrote a draft for the prologue and realized there simply aren't enough NPCs in the game to make a compelling story. I especially need antagonists, so, Psylene and Usva are gonna have their game of cat and mouse in the background while Faenil is wrangling dragons and fist fighting gods and whatnot. They are probably not gonna be in the spotlight much at all in the story itself but I kind of fell in love with them as soon as I designed them lol, so we'll see.

Apart from tracking down Faenil in the Jeralls for weeks, Psylene is good at being a bounty hunter because her targets can easily get disillusioned by her pleasant demeanor until she starts roasting marshmallows in a burning pile of corpses or something and they realize she is devoid of any soul and joy and she is in fact shipping them to the torture prison of death. Usva is just chaotic as hell and can't stop talking about different ways to gut a fish or whatever, I'm making sure Faenil meets her too. Both women joined the wrong side of history to keep their families safe, but what can you do... And uh, this ship works because Usva is the only person in decades that has managed to make Psylene feel genuine anger.
