fun facts about rad!!

-he has four fingers! -this is because his body isn't a static form and is entirely based off how he thinks of himself. he keeps forgetting normal hands have five -rad loves spicy food, and spicy music! anything really fast or loud! i would not like his music taste. -before the radiationing he was pretty lonely. he only had one friend. i bet he'd probably do anything to help that friend if they were in trouble -i'm obviously talking about evil rad here. i don't know who created evil rad but i have adopted them into the rad backstory -rfa (rad facts anon) knows everything about rad and genuinely gets in a lot of pain when there's multiple rads. that would never happen though -rad's favourite game is... anything nya plays! -his coat is basically the only thing he still owns from pre-radiation -some early rad asks are very far from the character rad would become, so like, don't go looking for those if you want insight into him lol -rad was based off this one post with bonkcreat in it. it's why he has four eyes, and green text -weird how he can only type in green though, right? rotomblr is really strange... -i've been thinking about doing a pre-radiation radblog, an alternate timeline where rad searched for friendship online! -his favourite colour is apple

so i heard this description of last breath aus being where a fight was prolonged by the characters knowing about previous playthroughs, and that got me thinking... what would happen if rad & nya both got sent back?

rad would do anything to save his friends. if something happened, where he was sent back in time, and he remembered what happened before, he wouldn't hesitate to try again.

nya, on the other hand, was a passive party in his own death, though now that he has the opportunity to do something and the lingering sense of guilt of not being able to help his home dimension after his postmortem, he'd want to do everything in his power to take out as many hired assassins as possible, and maybe even some of the leaders of his corporate hellhome.

rad's story doesn't change. he never found the person he was looking for in the original turn of events, and can you blame him for not being able to remember the exact route he took the first time down? sewers are like mazes in a way. rad still succumbs to the lingering radiation in the sewers, still forgets his past, and still goes on to live with eric. one thing does change, however...

nya never becomes one with his laptop. he might be able to kill a few hired goons with the knife in his shitty apartment, but he doesn't make it very far after that. he dies fighting his way to the top of one of the many corporate headquarters, and the object he gets stuck inside isn't one with any innate abilities he can use. he's stuck inside his knife for the rest of eternity.

hope you guys liked this little dive into rad & nya's backstories. i've had rad's entire deal etched into my mind for ages now and it feels so good to share even a small amount of what's going on there
