[You return to where you asked Sam to wait and find the little bastard is gone. Great. You wonder what this can mean and can only hope that it isn't trying to do anything that will get it hurt again]
[You wait for a few minutes before realising that Sam clearly isn't coming back any time soon. You can only hope that this doesn't mean more of a headache when he does]
[You go about your tasks but you find yourself unable to focus wondering two things: what the fuck is Sam doing and where has he gone?]
[Things quiet down and you resign yourself to potentially hunting out the little critter and then you hear that sound... in Percy's room. Of course]
[You open the door to see a less upset Sam looking up at you from Percy's bed, a paper on top of something metal and sleek]
[The headache begins as you pick up the note but your eyes look to the laptop sitting on your bed. fuck. Sam!]
[Stealing a computer was bold enough, the irons frustrating but ultimately harmless but this! Someone is clearly going to be looking for this!]
[ Fran k l in !!!! Computer no work! But tall man!!!!! Tall man had this! Sense energy inside \\\\\ easier to carry!!!! ran out of electricity! but friend inside!!!! please! :(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((( help me get friend!!! save from tall man!!!!!!!!! ]
[Sam chitters nervously as you look up from the note its eyes pleading and despite the chaos its caused its hard to resist that look of pure desperation mixed in with the adorableness of this little shit]
{for a bit more context, check out this post(1) and this post(2)}
(Franklin had found Adelaide and filled her in on everything on the way back to where he left Sam, but then they got there and it was nowhere to be seen. Franklin holds his face in his hands with exasperation) For fucks sake, I told him to stay here.
Shit. So what do we do?
Let- let’s just wait for it, I’ll find you again if he appears.
(Adelaide looks skeptical, but she only shakes her head with a sigh) Alright, if you say so.
…
(There is only so much one can do to try and hunt down a time-travelling raccoon that possesses a range of unnatural skills, as Franklin knows very well, but when he hears Sam in Percy's room, he is simultaneously relieved and dismayed. Luckily he knew Percy wouldn't be in there, since he was in his study when Franklin checked on him only a few minutes ago. He quickly makes his way down the hall to where he knows Adelaide is and calls her out, then they both enter the bedroom together.)
Is that...?
Fuck. Yeah. (A fucking laptop. Great.)
Tall man... so wait, you're saying you're friend is in here? (He waves the laptop in one hand, reading the note in the other) Dear God. Okay.
(He sits down on the bed with the laptop and opens it up. When the screen shows up blank, he sighs) Dead. Okay... there’s nowhere to plug in a charger either, even if we had one.
Uhhhhh… I can get a powerbank? What kind of cable does it need?
(She takes a look and nods) Yeah, perfect! I can get something, give me a second.
(Adelaide opens her little ring-portal and pops her head and most of her body through, leaving only her legs visible to the room. Franklin seems unperturbed by this, merely taking his necklace off and waiting. When she re-emerges, she’s holding a small grey box with a cable attached) There, plug it in.
You do it, I have to close this.
(They swap places and work quickly, Adelaide charging the laptop and Franklin shutting the gateway and handing the ring back to its owner. Their efficiency makes it clear that they’re used to working together, and it seems like they barely have to speak to communicate.)
(After what feels like an age, the screen lights up. Unfortunately —though perhaps expectedly— it’s asking for a password.)
Fuck. (Franklin looks at Sam) You wouldn’t happen to know the login details for this, would you?
