i really want to share more of my stuff this year, so i decided id do so w smth im confident in? yes? yeah. except all my mains to get some more open love this year… but rn. THE MOST SPOILED F/O. AGAIN.
Personality: silly, goofy, funny (intentionally and not), nerdy, a little awkward, slightly dark humor but genuinely kindhearted; cares about his students a great deal; bit of a crier (highly emotional movies tend to make him cry, regardless of whether they’re sad or not)
Misc: has picked up an uncomfortable amount of internet brainrot lingo from his students; very fond of horror as a genre and often incorporates it into his English lessons, choosing classic authors like Edgar Allen Poe and such (sometimes scares a few of the students but goes out of his way to make sure they feel better before leaving school); divorced before he ever had kids of his own but loves his students like his own; he is well loved by his students in return who poke fun at him sometimes as middle schoolers do but who often gravitate towards him when they need a trusted adult to talk to

How he meets Elias Graysen (self insert):
Elias (they/she) just recently got their first ever real job, tutoring math and science at one of the local middle schools! They’re still an undergraduate physics major at the local community college but they’re making progress and their life is much more on track than it was even three years ago!! So they decided to try to start working, to make a little spending cash. They weren’t a full time student to begin with so they figured they’d have time to spend a couple hours every other day working at a local middle school.
So they start and a few days in they meet Simon when he asks them for their assistance in helping a particular student of his, Robyn Tamayo. Robyn, though usually bright and participatory, has been struggling in his class and Simon sat her down and asked what was going on- Robyn said that she was struggling in her math class. Simon told Robyn that he’d help her find someone who could help her with it. He does a little digging and finds out that their school has just hired a part time science/math tutor.
He gingerly approaches said tutor, Elias, about helping Robyn one on one and of course, Elias is excited to have what he assures them is such a bright student to tutor.
Simon is immediately taken by Elias and starts to make excuses to see them more often under the guise of checking up on Robyn’s progress…
