This is my indie show i made, its fully finished and out now its about a survivor of a mass disappearance event named cosima and everything that comes with that

Episode one.

Meeting pumpkin once again..

Episode summary:cherry shows up in the sasshow dimension trying to find her brother pumpkin! She didn't expect to run into a clown and..find out her brother fell for someone he shouldn't have.

Cherry isn't even surprised she showed up here in all honesty she knew something was wrong when pumpkin disappeared and didn't show up for month's after she should have known a portal had something to do with her brother disappearing!

Cherry walks around yelling pumpkin name as loud as she possibly can she doesn't know if her brother is safe or if her brother is even alive! He's been missing for months now and she's been worried sick trying to find him only to find out he's in another dimension

Cherry bumps into someone and backs up "shit! I'm sorry I didn't me-", she stops dead she when she sees who she bumped into a clown..a attractive clown actually! "Mean to bump into you..", cherry says embarrassed that she's staring

Rosiebell blinks and smiles "ah! It's ok!", she says softly "your new? I don't think I know who you are actuall!!"

Cherry smiles nervous "I'm cherry! Pumpkins little sister I'm not really from here and I've been looking for my brother for a while now actually!", rose says

Rosiebell smiles nervously oh so this is who pumpkin has been referring too! That's shit that's not a good thing that she's here now especially after pumpkin left

"Well hello cherry! I'm rosiebell I do know..pumpkin but I really regret to inform you but he left with someone months ago actually.."

Cherry goes still he what...HE LEFT WITH SOMEONE MONTHS AGO?? IT'S BEEN MONTHS HERE??? no no it'd been weeks in her original dimension weeks like 5 weeks but here it's been..months? How

A rant i posted on scratch about my indie show

I love writing and drawing symbolism it's so cool. It feels like I'm giving people little appetizers. If you really wanted to disect mallworld, cosima's belt being that bright blue, and the walls or lighting changing to that color is symbolic of her feelings about her body. It's why the thing usuall shows up in mirrors. In the school scene in particular it has to do with how she felt about her identity, note ms. Henschels "who do you want to be?" Generally doors for cosima are dark red and feature an upside down cross, these doors usually take her where she needs to go. This is symbolic for how moving away from religion is something Cosima needs to do to stop moralizing her body and sexuality(being chased by the monster that chooses masks for her body shape to don in the scene where everyone disappears) To give you a bit more of Mallworld background commentary, when the monster appears in Cosima's bedroom, she's at her worst about her body.. note the writing on the mirror.. the monster has a certain place in the storytelling i can't quite say yet.. but generally the monster is a "reflection" of cosima's insecurities. It directly tracks her down. One of her biggest issues is feeling like she doesn't fit in with either gender, hence the purple on her top being the color of the hallway between The pink and blue walls in mallworld, where she finds her door, and her being most concerned when between the mens and womens and between two images of models of men and womens bodies. She doesn't feel totally attached to either(she's unspecified genderqueer), but mostly her story themes are about her body, sexuality, and identity. Part of it is the yellow lighting. Where light is yellow, generally it's a character making a move they need too, when it's less harsh, it's something the character Is ready for, whereas in the car with francesco, she's not ready to tell him all that, but it comes out fast and harshly. It is a necessary thing, and you'll learn more about their relationship in episode two, but it was hard. The distant lights in the background are supposed to be reminiscant of a distant city. To francesco and cosima, each character feels forcibly distant from each other, but when connected by that harsh yellow light. Boom. There isn't a whole lot of symbolism with the Survivors, but this is mostly because it was late into scriptwriting and i haven't figured out all the symbols for the characters. Episode two will have more for side characters. Anyways feel free to microanalyze mallworld i have meanings i haven't explained here, especially for yellowstone and clair de lune specifically
