May can you info dump about The Brainly twins? I just can't get enough... They're lovely!!

Yesss ok!! I don’t have much art about them but here are some random thoughts about them!!

So for one thing, even though they’re brain descendants, they’re not from the same line are Eraqus, I think they’d be great cousins?? But I don’t think Eraqus would know about them (or at least both of them. After Signe falls to darkness she would probably fade out of history)

Speaking of that, Signe and Sigmund come from a very strict family, one that’s born from the reputation of keyblade masters and one that’ll die by it. Both of their parents are keyblade masters, and their father assists in leading a society. Their mother used to be a free-spirited woman, living with her head in the clouds, but she’s was forced into changing her ways, and is a mostly solitary person who puts on a face for others. I think that’s why she’s so harsh on Sigmund, since she used to be like him, and she knows how it turns out. Furthermore, I think that’s why Signe looks towards her mother for guidance, and why Sigmund looks towards her as a warning. To Signe, she’s proof that it’s possible to be ‘good’ even when that’s not what you want to be, to Sigmund, she’s proof that staying will suffocate him.

Sigmund was disowned during his teenage years, for rebelling against his family after a particularly bad attempt at summoning a keyblade. Sigmund’s never been able to summon a keyblade, and uses magic instead. This looks *really bad* for a family defined by their connections to keyblades, especially since you need a strong heart to use one. That, and Sigmund’s general manner of interacting with people isn’t a great look for everyone, so he’s always been on thin ice with his parents. He’s been running out to perform with his troupe since he was very young, keeping it hidden from everyone but his sister, but after that… fiasco he left for a few weeks, and then it was all over. He’s much happier where he is now, but he misses Signe, and wishes she knew that the happiness she wants is just outside her door.

Signe isn’t really a princess of heart, but she was raised to be one. Since being pure of heart is all what’s needed to be one (at least on paper), she’s being raised into a ‘manufactured’ PoH, a person who purged her own darkness and left only light. This all sounds like a very lovely proof of her inherently good noble bloodline, but really this has turned out to just teach her to hide her flaws. She was able to do this when Sigmund was with her, since he’d always take the blame (saying he was used to it with a smile on his face), but since he was disowned she’s been really struggling to keep her mask on. She’s developing a minor superiority complex, because alls she’s heard is that she’s the *good* one, she’s the twin that’ll follow in her family’s footsteps, nothing like her foolish brother, throwing it all away to preform party tricks on the street. But really, she just misses her brother, and wishes they could live in a world without all these obligations just as regular people.

Within the storyline, after Sigmund leaves Signe slowly dissolves, losing her will and identity. She starts staying inside more, hiding from the world, until it just explodes out of her. Everyone fails to stop her until Sigmund confronts her, and defeats her. He doesn’t deliver the final blow, but once Signe comes to her senses, she realizes that she’ll never be able to return to how it used to be. She bequeaths Sigmund with her keyblade, and, with no other perceived way out, she takes herself down. Now, with people seeing Sigmund as a hero, he is reintroduced to the family, and titled a keyblade master. While he can actually use Signes keyblade, he refuses to, and disappeared from the public eye a few months after this. The story that gets passed down to Eraqus’s time is that Signe was a trickster, possessed by darkness that hid beneath the light, and that Sigmund was able to return to the side of light by destroying the darkness.

OK FUN TIME

Signe uses her keyblade like a fencing Sabre, and generally is pretty physical fighter. She likes sports too, and is decently athletic, but also loves elaborate clothing, and used to rip her dresses all the time as a kid. She likes activities that require her to use her hand.

Sigmund’s magic is kind of dark looking? Though half of that is just him playing it up to annoy his family. He’s a fairly technical magic user as well, and prefers illusory magic, though he’s proficient at other magic types as well. He’s a bit of a jack-of-all-trades type of guy, and good at a bunch of different things, like sewing and piano. He learned his magic from books and troupe members. Speaking of the troupe, he isn’t that good of an actor actually, which is why he sticks to stage work and behind the scenes stuff.
