Susie is a bioengineered Slugcat.

She has the genetic make up of a Salamander lizard, Red lizard, and Slugcat. She is made to move primarily in water, underwater, and across far distances in the air as she has an extremely powerful jump.

Despite her inability to hide, she has the bite force of a Red lizard and the grip of a slugcat as well as a heightened intelligence due to accidental genealogy mix ups.

She is not the only bioengineered creature to be extremely smart, as Twelve Scales took this found trait and applied it to two other modified creatures. They together perform as her eyes, ears, and hands in the complex can she calls home.

Sally the Slugcat in the picture is only 2/3s grown. She grows fur and more spines in the list trimester of her growthspurts.

Has wires in her brain to allow Twelve Scales to hear and understand what is happening around Sally.
