Snip just wants to see his adopted brother :<

But he has been gone for some months and came back with an oddly healed wound and damn he smells weird. And he jsut brought a random wolf with him wth

A paring blessed by the winds.

Snip and Velvet. The two meet in a wildlife rehabilitation center, and where released together after they showed bonding behaviors.

Turns out bringing a complete stranger, not even from nearby lands, makes tensions rise a little in a dying pack.

The wind howls out but the grief is louder in Hare's heart. Will he let the stranger in?

A little piece of Wolf Lake story lore :] this is about how Snip's birth mother left him in the care of the Southern Lake pack.

Here's all my current main/served purpose characters for wolf lake for now.

Bluegill, Foam, Snip, and Heron.

They all have very funky opinions on eachother lmfao

Ok now I gotta know

What the hell (/nm) happened and why does Snip have a collar??

Why were they yoinked by people??

And what did the people do other than sedatikn or marking Snip??

Snip was caught in a wolf trap (non lethal and usually no major injury) and sedated. He was fitted with a radio collar, measured, and examined before being left and watched from a distance while he woke up.

Snip got real confused and did not really remember or understand anything that happend. All he knows is his head hurts and it's hard to stand. And this thing is on his neck.

Later (like a year) he would most likely be tracked down again to recollect the collar and take measurements again. People dont want to be too invasive to the very remote packs

out of curiosity? Do humans exist in the universe of the wolf lake story?

Humans do exist, but in general, they are not around the lake territory. Settlements are very far away and the land north is still very unconquered and left as a reserve of sorts.

The most human contact they'll get are some poachers or scientists.

A wolf stumbles into the grove, a odd smell stuck to his cinnamon pelt.

"Snip!" Bluegill calls from his spot in the shade of a pine tree. "Where have you been, we were supposed to go to the damage together."

Snip stands beside Bluegill, eyes half closed. "I dunno, think I hit my head on a log," he rubs his paw across his matted forehead. A thick strap displaces the fur around his neck.

"Whats that around your neck? It smells-" Bluegill tugs his nose back from the leather. "-sharp?" Bluegiil sneezes and shakes his head.

Snip paws at the collar, "must have caught it on my neck somehow? It's stuck, but it doesn't hurt, just makes a weird chirp." He folds his paw beneath him as he lays down and lea s against Bluegill. "I'm not too worried about it, just need to get the smell off of me." Snip cranes his neck over Bluegill's back and starts rubbing the black material over his fur.

"Heh- stop that, you bullhead!"

Awe my boy. He deserves too be rid of that collar.

pov: you are the only local wolf who keeps getting abducted by humans, and nobody believes you. You just came back from a month and a half in a conservation center, recovering from an illegal trap. But you have a friend now!!

And you still have your radio collar that you are definitely going to get gnawed off this time.
