Now this broken dark reveals the day. In morning haze, we'll walk the path ahead. Where will our steps lead? I cannot say.

I saw our house again, in a way. The blackened ruin left worse regret unsaid. But broken, dark, it still reveals the day.

With smoke and sirens finally cast away, We see the soldiers - rivers running red Where did their steps lead? I should not say.

It would be our burden. Let them lay, No ghosts of fire should follow where we tread. What's done is done - the dark begets the day.

I loooove it when characters fall soooo deep into their act, that they can no longer distinguish reality from their self imposed play. People turn into roles and props around them. They can't even tell how much of themself is a performance anymore.

My character-obsessed ass could never use speculative fiction as a lens through which to study the big questions of life.

"What does it mean to be a person, could a machine ever fully replicate-" BORING! USELESS! PROBABLY CATHOLIC!

"This robot IS* a person. In what ways is she different from a typical organic intelligence? What does she want out of life? What challenges does she face?" Compelling, brimming with opportunity, and above all, neurodivergent.

*If you question the robot's personhood the narrative will go out of its way to mock you.
