Me when I make a full reference lineup of all the Bad Kids, including my fuckass ranger oc
Includes height, build, scars, tattoos (for the most part, I wanna draw out a full tattoo map for Riz since there’s a lot on his back as well) AND body hair, cause. I like drawing body hair. And I have some weirdly specific headcanons revolving around the Bad Kids’ body hair distribution.
In-depth ramblings under the cut
Scars-wise, all of them actually have fairly few; Kristen and Riz probably have the most, purely because they have Kalina’s claw marks (of which Kristen has many more), and without those Gorgug would easily have the most. This is in part because I’m lazy and didn’t wanna go through the whole show and write down any instance in which each of them would be scarred, but also because I like to think that healing magic makes injuries less likely to scar, and makes scarring less intense. It’s can’t restore organs, like Fabian’s eye, but it very much can restore fleshy tissue growth. Hence, only very major stuff tends to leave scars.
Any really specific scars I’ll go into detail about, but I tried to give all of them at least a couple, just because they should have some cause they’re adventurers.
Fabian has a few scars other than his eye, and VERY little body hair. He’s got a little on his shins and forearms but that’s it for the most part. He seem’s like the kind of guy to wax at least his armpits to me. Don’t know why lmao he just does. He can grow a little bit more, since he’s half human, he just doesn’t like it. And as far as I can remember he seems to actually experience a lot more blunt force trauma (getting run over, tables, etc.) than open wounding, so I don’t think he’d have very many surface scars, BUT he does have a good few healed fractures! They all healed well, but if you put him under an X-ray the doctor would be concerned.
Fig doesn’t have too many scars, but I did make sure to mark up her knees real good, just cause I imagine she probably fell a lot when she first took her skateboard. And also because she seems like she’d enjoy kneeing people, and sometimes those people have scales or armor or whatever else. Body hair wise, she’s about average for a wood elf— which is slightly lighter than most humans average at unshaven. Fig doesn’t shave or wax or anything, she just doesn’t have a ton of hair. Wood elves also have tufts of hair on the ends of their ears! That’s a wood elf thing, not a Fig thing hehe. Mass-wise, she’s bottom heavy, but she’s got wide shoulders. She’s got more wire-y arms, and thicker legs (<- guy who’s not projecting). Her hair is SOOOO long is she unbraided it, it would easily drag along the floor. She already didn’t cut it much, but it started growing wayyyy faster when she started presenting as a teifling, and she’s only really trimmed it since then. She also actually has the straightest hair in the party! Gorgug and Adaine are tied for 2nd, with wavy hair. Fig’s horns make her look taller than she is because of the way they stick mostly straight up, but she is shorter than Fabian. Also she has a tail. She got that when becoming an Archdevil I think, she didn’t just grow in during puberty haha.
Adaine only has a couple small scars, because as a wizard she’s usually staying a little farther out of the fray, and taking fewer physical hits, and the ones that she does take get healed quicker and/or are easier to heal cause they’re smaller. The only larger scar she has is actually completely hidden under her bra, and it’s from being impaled by the unicorn in the finale of sophomore year. He’s smaller than Kristen’s, not scar shaped, and is actually placed over her heart and between her ribs instead of over bone, like Kristen’s is, and the exit scar on her back is slightly lower and smaller. Body hair-wise, she has very little. This is both because of being a high-elf— who grow very minimal body hair, and what they do grow is typically light and thin— and because for the beginning of puberty her parents essentially forced her to get at least her legs and armpits waxed. She has since moving into Mordered stopped doing this entirely, and actually grows a bit more on her forearms than she used to after getting bit my Jawbone as a freshman. She may not have been turned into a werewolf, but she did still get a mild side effect! Her build is very rectangular.
Kristen is probably the most scarred Bad Kid here, purely because she’s kinda covered in Kalina scratches. She’s got way more than Riz does, AND she’s got that giant star-shaped hole in her chest, and a little ring of stars around the last knuckle of her left pinky. The star-shaped scar on Kristen’s chest is of course from being impaled by the great unicorn in sophomore year. It’s perfectly symmetrical, runs exactly through the center of her chest, where there should be bone where the sides of her ribcage connect, and the exit scar is the exact same size and shape and is placed directly centered as well, over her spine and directly under her shoulder blades. It’s a magic scar, it should not have been able to work the way it did, and it wouldn’t have worked that way if she got it in pitched combat like Adaine got hers. Hair-wise, her body hair is bushy and thick and she does not cut or wax ANY of it. She used to shave a little bit before running away. She wasn’t REQUIRED to like Adaine was, but she was kinda shamed into it. She’s a hairy fat butch now <333
Riz is lanky; he’s built like a really tiny string-bean to me. Weird little toothpick of a guy. Anyways he of course has lots of tattoos; his arms are more full coverage than his chest, abdomen, and back. Scar-wise, he’s got a few random ones, a handful of Kalina scratches, and of course those gashes on his hands. Body hair wise, he doesn’t strike me as someone able to grow a ton of hair— he’s got more on his legs and abdomen, but only a little bit on his arms and chest. He also has some little baby whiskers and thicker sideburns. Him and Kristen are freckle buddies! He ALSO has a tail, and he’s had it his whole life. I’m a “goblins have tails” truther to the bone. It’s actually prehensile, and can hold up his whole body weight if he hunt upside down!
Jay is barely taller than Riz (his ears make him look taller, similar with Fig’s horns) but he’s like, easily 1.5-2 times as heavy. Ranger-Fighter who’s been actively hunting and doing regular strenuous physical activity since early youth and has access to a lot of food gets STURDY! Farmboyyyyyy (it’s not so much a farm so much as just. A house with a little pumpkin patch close to the woods but close enough) Because of his fur, any scars he has don’t show very easily, So I haven’t included many. I can’t go into depth on his body hair because he’s just. All Hair haha. Also, you can’t see it but it’s visible in my of my other drawings of him, but he has a tattoo of a sprig of juniper on the inside of his left ear, which he got in leviathan.
Gorgug is HAIRYYYY this is a boy raised by frosty faire folk, there is zero pressure to get rid of hair here and he really hates the feeling of bare armpits (sticky/tacky, sweaty, bumpy skin, etc.) Him and Kristen are probably close to tied in terms of body hair; Gorgug’s got more on his chest but Kristen’s probably got more bush lmao. She seems like she’d pride herself on that (<- guy who’s definitely not projecting at all) Gorgug has had a little bit of stubble on his face since just about freshman year, cause he went into puberty a little earlier than the other two boys (around the same time Fabian did, but he’s also like 7 months older, so. Y’know) but he really only grows in on his chin, not his lip. His chin is the only place he sometimes shaves. Scar-wise, Gorgug doesn’t really have any famous lore-related scars, just a good handful from tanking hits the way he does as a Barbarian. My Gorgug DOES have glasses, but his prescription is lighter than Riz’s (lighter, nearsighted, developed later through strain with his detective work), and MUCH lighter than Adaine’s (a good bit heavier, used to wear contacts most of the time as a freshman but hated them,) and he has a tendency to forget them a lot, so I didn’t draw him with them. He’s gotten better at remembering them since picking up Artificer, since he’s farsighted and now needs them more. His tattoo is gold because it was done in the ink Garthy uses! Riz’s were done in normal ink, but Gorgug’s were done in the golden ink as a cultural thing. (This ink is not the same as the gold in Fabian’s neck tattoo. That’s real gold cause everyone’s insane. Gorgug and Garthy’s gold ink is just a magically imbued ink that LOOKS golden.)
i don’t think they’d have much time to prepare (considering it was not planned and very soon into their official relationship) so they’d both struggle with being new dads initially.
but they’d fall into the role pretty quickly once they have their daughter i think :’3
also i think by the time they adopt their son they’d be super comfortable in their parenting styles ^^
