oh yeah, guess i can post this here for the benefit of anyone scrolling back through the blog: this was the thread header i used on bsky/mastodon for my OC-tober 2025 art. i didn't get around to drawing all of these characters but i figured i'd get the likely ones on there so people would have names + faces for who the heck all these characters are.

you can find all my character profiles on toyhouse. most of them are from Iron Company, my current visual novel project. Elly is from Potion Stand Story, my visual-novel-shop-sim-thing about witches and feelings. Wren and Ary are from ??? ?? ? ?? we'll see. i literally do not know yet

starting on sprites for Iron Company in earnest, here's Erika!! she's a ghost who accidentally got spiritually superglued to a living human... who she kinda hates. she can't leave a fifty-foot radius of him. she's catty, vengeful, and perpetually bored. she would like if you turned the pages in a magazine for her or turned on the radio please she is so bored ALL THE TIME

the sprites are modular! i'm gonna be using layered images in ren'py so i don't have to save each sprite as a complete image. it'll give me a lot of flexibility with expressions.

perhaps the most On My Bullshit i have ever been, so far, in my life: here’s an animatic i was trying to do for #Feboardary but it turns out i have seasonal depression so now it’s... #Julyboardary. it’s an anime OP for my eternally in development visual novel project which you can see more about here.

the song is Identity by Kiro Akiyama, which was used for the Promised Neverland’s second OP (weird that they made an OP but like no actual season to go with it)

there’s a lot in here i wish i could polish more, but the most important thing is i did like a hundred drawings (half of them re-works of other drawings) and stuck to the project all month and got it fuckin DONE, which is huge for me, the person who never finishes anyth
