What is the one quality in each kid Mortis and Indran like? Are they different between the two of them or the same quality?
Kids are in the age order to avoid any kind of favouritism on part of either of the parents.
Mortis
Lak: Her perseverance. Considering all that Lak’s been through, she still keeps going and living and has made a lot from her life despite its harsh beginnings. Caitlin: The no-nonsense attitude she has, on occasion. It’s a quality he has, and thus something he appreciates. Killian: Does he have to name any? Killian’s way more often trouble than qualities Mortis' appreciates. But if he has to say something, it’d be his charisma (clearly something that comes more from Indran than him), but then again it’s the said charisma that gets him into all the said trouble. Markus: Honestly his diligence when it comes to his work. It’s also a quality that Mortis recognises in himself, so… easy pick for him.
Indran
Lak: Lak’s intelligence. She knows a lot and Indran enjoys talking with her about various topics. Lak usually brings up perspectives that she hasn’t thought of or heard before, and even if she doesn’t agree with them, it makes the conversation stimulating and interesting. Caitlin: Her quick and devastating wit. It’s such a joy to see something she greatly admires in people to manifest in her own daughter. Killian: His easy going attitude, something that was certainly lacking in the family and Killian was the only person with that before Lak showed up. Markus: Definitely his dry sense of humour. It’s very dry and very rare, but it’s nice to see that her son can make a joke on occasion.
What was the reaction of Killian and Markus to the adoption of Lak and how to do they view her now?
They were both slightly confused when they heard about it. Their parents hadn’t earlier shown any interest in adoption and now they were planning it. Killian was more curious because he hadn’t really met people who’d been in the war beyond grandpa. Markus was worried how would someone from such a background would adjust to living with their kind of family, and the possible political ramifications (Caitlin asked him why he was the one from the family concerning himself with that).
These days Killian is glad there’s someone else who is less Force oriented and knows how to have fun. And doesn’t seem to have the need to live to the family’s expectations, or take so much pressure of it.
Markus doesn’t get Lak’s carefree attitude at all on the other hand. And is far more concerned about the family’s reputation. Still kind of fond of Lak despite that.
5 facts about Killian!
Thank you for asking! This completes the Marwil sibling set on my side. This time the middle child.
Killian is the wild child of the siblings. He feels like he doesn’t fit in with rest of his siblings. Caitlin and Markus seem to fit in perfectly to the roles expected and he doesn’t feel like he does. So he rebels in his own ways.
The most annoying way of rebelling, if his parents are asked, is him sleeping around with about everyone he can. Which with him being a Sith is a lot of people. The fact that he sleeps with Imperials is not making his parents happy either.
Even if Killian doesn’t seem responsible (he isn’t), he’s the only one of the siblings able to keep plants alive by himself.
Despite him appearing confident and self-assured, he is rather insecure of himself from time to time. Not helped by his perfect siblings being perfect (no, they aren’t).
Killian practices kickboxing in his free time. He likes it being more of a contact sport than fighting with a lightsaber.
Let's go the opposite way with what are the worst or most irritating qualities for each of Mortis and Indrans kids?
Mortis
Lak: How she doesn’t always put much forethought into her actions. They have landed her into trouble often enough and Mortis feels that he has to clean up after her. Caitlin: Her need to get the last word in and be the one who is always correct (it's because that’s what Mortis needs to be). Killian: His ability to sleep with every woman that crosses his path. Mortis has lost track of how many times he’s had to cover Killian’s "mistakes”. Markus: How pedantic he can be. Sure, Mortis is so too, but sometimes he can do with less seeing his qualities reflected back at him.
Indran
Lak: Her pride in not being a desk-jockey and general distaste for those who are. Like Lak, think a little, most of your family is that, your husband is that, just think before you speak. Caitlin: How high-strung she tends to be when she’s stressed. Totally losing the ability to take a joke and becomes snippy. Killian: Same as for Mortis, could their son keep it in his pants? Like for once. It’s not too much to ask for, is it? Markus: His lack of affection. She knows that he cares, but sometimes he could do to show that, like hug or something.
