A tired, scruffy boy.
1A, KS and TX, this is so not Mika >.>;;
This one has a slightly different vibe than the last one.
Not Mika, thank you so much for this :’D
Juan in his Park Ranger/Game Warden uniform. (not sure exactly which he does at the moment, but the uniforms look very similar as they’re both through parks departments) A few not exactly new, but not drawn enough things here. 1) He wears reading glasses when he has to read a bunch of small print. He can do with out them for like, reading a restaurant menu, but if it’s like a book or a ton of paper work he really does need them.
2) He’s missing a a few fingers- his entire pinky, and distal from the middle ring finger joint on his left hand.
Christmas doodles that I should’ve posted on Christmas. Def wanna color these later.
Well you were supossed to be able to plausibly be interpreted as platonic w/ some tension . . . I don’t think that worked out.
So finally properly drew the shorter half of one of my top bro-/otps, TN. His first name’s Kenneth, ‘n I’mma need all my will power not not have his last name be Ryman. His color palette is new, it’s looked way too much like Juan’s in the past. Still got some design issues, but I think it’s getting close to solidifying. He’s a lot like Juan in being cocksure and pigheaded. At the same time Ken has a more laid-back manner (and probably more real level-headedness), but is more showy than Juan in ways of appearance. I’ve been thinking of him working at a place that does guitar repairs, customizations, and such.
Not 100% sure what’s going on in this drawing, but I got a pretty good idea and invite y’all to use your imaginations.
Listened to a lot of Alejandro Escovedo while coloring.
Playing around with an old sketch and some new brushes. Guitar playing asshole who should stop smoking. He probably has (at least mostly) but he was in the sketch. I also think he was supposed to be younger in it.
Kingsman AU Nonsense
I can’t stop help me. OTL So I figure most logically, Ameican agents would be named after states, but folklore characters would be cool too. Long post ahead to warn y’all. This is mostly thinking about jobs though, so here goes:
Austin/Steph: Basically Merlin’s job. She originally gets recruited solely for tech shit, ‘cause damn is her resume (and some relevant legal issues that brought her to the organization’s attention) impressive. She’s super chill- like, ridiculously so, to the point where people think she’s lazy and will just be stuck in the tech department til she screws up and gets fired. In actuality, she does care about her work because how cool is this shit? And she cares about the people, so the reason she spends so little time on her work is bc she’s just good at getting it done (she’s actually meticulous as hell with important stuff) and spends the rest of the time doing side projects for friends.
She ends up being in charge of the dogs they give candidates too, once she finds out about that aspect of the organization. (”Woah woah woah hold up, there’s a room full of puppies?!”) She ends up trying to go under the higher-ups noses and get as many puppies as she can from shelters for the selection process. She’s also gradually charged with their care, when it becomes apparent that the slacker from the tech department had some weird affinity for the animals. She ends up finding homes for any extras bitter failed candidates don’t want to take home, and fosters for the dogs left behind by dead agents. If she has way more old dogs around her house than she did before, no one says anything.
She eventually starts getting promoted as she gets more invested in the job and the little family around the office, and her passion and drive start to show in her work. She offers to spar with another agent and- woah is Slacker ripped, and- holyfuck that right hook- and jesus christ can people even bend that way?!?! The guy she was sparing with asks her if she’d be interested in becoming a handler of field agent, which she never considered ‘cause it sounds like too much work, she realizes she cares enough to go for it- handler, that is, field agent sound like too much seriousness. Turns out the girl can barely hit the broad side of a barn, which is confusing to everyone after seeing her pitch for softball. (It’s an American branch I’m talking about, okay? Of course at least the tech department would do some shit like that) Then shit goes south with one mission or another, and she has to step in and help the poor bastard out in the field. She gets a concussion and a bullet to the abdomen, passes out on the plane back bc she didn’t think to tell anyoen about the wound, and gets yelled at in the medical bay- What the FUCK, you haven’t even been approved to cary a gun!- and some unpayed leave.
But after that, the rush of being able to physically do shit, she decides she at least wants the option to go into the field when necessary. Her aim doesn’t get too much better, but it becomes passible after months of friends dragging her- against a certain Austinite’s whiney protests- to the shooting range. She continues her work in tech and intel, and keeps getting better and better, even being integral in some improvements to the system.
NM/Caterina Alma: Field medic. If any agent is dumb and elitist enough to poke fun at the fact that she’s “only a nurse”, lets just say they get a fuck ton more unpleasant tests (”I got a concussion, why do I need a colonoscopy?”), uncomfortable braces and bandages, and a serious of what seems like fifty pokes to find a vein for an IV. And a big “go fuck yourself with a cactus” type of talking too (though in fewer words) because she’s not passive. She wants them to know exactly why they are in unnecessary pain. She’d never do anything to actually compromise their health- she’s responsible and good at her job- but a being late on painkillers is usually no big deal. She’s a kind person- sweet, even, something that goes beyond excellent bedside manner- so new people are usually very confused as to why a few agents and technicians seem scared shitless around her. Soon though, they’ll either witness or be on the receiving end of her death glare, and all will be clear. If a younger agent is annoying her, she will not hide it, but won’t be vindictive about it unless they get purposefully dickish. At some point, for secret santa or something, she’s given a cross-stitch with the quote “Do no harm, take no shit”- with the first half in normal size letters, the second in bold red ones, taking up most of the fabric. It perfectly summarizes her, she loves it, and hangs it at her work station. Everyone knows the implications are true- she’d never hurt or be rude to someone without cause, but give her a reason and all bets are off. In fact, if you give her a reason, run.
While a lot of her work is in med bay, she spends most of her time out in the field, either as backup on a mission they know is gonna be particularly dangerous, or on call to go with backup incase an agent need emergency attention. She’s a damn good shot, both up close and long range, and usually spends her time on missions in a sniper position, to keep the medical personnel from needing medical attention themselves. She’s a great actress too, and has no problem going on missions where she needs to go undercover and play a role. She is a field agent as well as medic, and ends up getting sent mostly where her expertise are needed.
TX/Juan: Just straight up field agent. No patience for high tech or computer bullshit unless it’s useful or involves space. (when his nerdy side comes out) He’s crack shot with any firearm, plus a lot more (”Why the fuck do you know how to shoot a crossbow? Also- why the fuck did the target have a god damn crossbow in their house?”), and ends up on the high-stakes sniper missions. He loves those- ‘cause “damn am I good or what? You see that shot? You see that fucking shot? I’m like the god damn spawn ‘a Davy Crockett ‘n Annie Oakley!”- but he relishes being in the fray as well. Physically he’s not very conspicuous (okay, that’s an understatement), but in addition to loving interacting with people, he’s good at it. So despite his visual sticking out, he gets sent on a fair amount of undercover-involved missions. He’s charming, if he does grate on a lot of people’s nerves with his over confidence, and knows how to use it. And hey, if it gives him the chance to (unnecessarily, even without being part of the mission) flirt at a nice party, he ain’t gonna complain.
His brazenes and cockiness shows in his work, never crossing the line into putting the mission in jeopardy, but sometimes toeing it. He seems to know just where to push it too with the theatrics- or maybe he’s just lucky- so while his handler yells at him to just use one fucking bullet and do not get that close ‘cause it’s too un-fucking necessary, they know that he (usually) knows what he’s doing. Doesn’t annoy them any less though, and he goes through a ridiculous amount of reviews, lectures, and paperwork as punishment. And partially out of necessity, ‘cause he has the tendency to just wing it and dive head-long into things when a mission goes to shit without waiting for further orders. Hell, it doesn’t even have to go to shit- he just needs to see an opportunity that wasn’t part of the plan to go off.
He was actually an army ranger before joining Kingsman, so he really should know better. And he does, it’s just the structure of the organization is a different deal, and he’s never been great at following unnecessary orders anyway. So while bravado is at the surface of everything, he knows when he needs to drop it when it actually gets in the way, and his military background is definitely evident in the way he works. Still, he’s probably that showy asshole that eventualy ends up getting sliced in half xD
We had our good times together, we sure had our special ways
Finished! Just old time Coahuila y Tejas being cute. It's a super old sketch, but used it for practice and ended up liking it so it got the full treatment. Yeah, in the end I really like this, it's cute.
Dunno what's up with the background, but I think it's becoming my default "I can't do backgrounds to have this" trick. It's pink 'cause . . . well, no good reson. Not sure what's up with her skirt- I had some references and after I started but too late I realized that the one I picked would've been super hard 'cause the stripes were on the top portion, so I ended up saying fuck it and I'm not sure what happened to it exactly. It was originally just gonna be a little quick thing so I didn't fix it. which is also why I forgot to shade Nanda's belt. OTL And black hair is annoying but asldkfh I do love Juan's curly lil' ponytail.
Also couldn't find a better quality version of the song to link to, sorry. I was listening to it among other things while coloring and it ended up sticking in my head for this. <3
Also I may like making people sad over this and that may've been my motivation for adding the song lyrics. xD //shot
