okay here's the characters of After Starfall (name is a wip idk if I'm gonna keep that name!)
bot classes are gonna be partially based off of pso2 classes because I like those categories!
the bot characters-
Hex: ex-gunner type, good balance of mobility and strength. used to use submachine guns and knives is close- to mid-range combat. Her emergent personality ended up being very extroverted and energetic. Her current role is materiel acquisition and salvaging, often accessing hard to reach areas through either acrobatics or by force. associated music genres are HexD (namesake), Krushclub, and Digital Hardcore. she is a mix of acerby type A, C, and D parts with 30MS hair and custom-painted pink eyes.
Krush: ex-ranger type, specializing in long-range sniping. she has decent mobility and very good sensors, with long-range zooming optics. her emergent personality ended up being very shy and quiet due to her role as a sniper, she isn't very good at dealing with other people. Her current role is a mix of recon and lookout duties, usually working alongside Hex. associated music genres are liquid dnb, electropop, and trance. she is a mix of acerby A and C parts with 30MS hair and teal lens seal eyes.
Hermit: support type. duties were and continue to be a mix of hacking and maintenance on other bots. She often is called in to access old computers and machinery, manipulating them to do what the squad needs from them. She's responsible for the majority of upgrades and non-standard parts that the bots have obtained post-war, since after the war the bots were granted *some* autonomy and freedoms. her emergent personality is a little rough and rude, often treating people and tasks as annoyances. maybe a little tsundere. associated music genres are hardcore EDM and eurobeat. she will be a mix of acerby type D and C parts with a spinatia lancer type head and maybe legs, with a spinatia commando type visor (yellow).
Limina: support type. able to operate most vehicles proficiently. she was and still is a pilot primarily, specializing in long-range combat using armed vehicles. her emergent personality ended up being very spacey and a little weird, though she quickly snaps into an ultra-focused and serious persona when piloting. associated music genres are space rock, ambient EDM/drone, and psychedelia. she will be an acerby type B with 30MS hair and white lens seal eyes. I'm not sure how else to customize her except I might use some parts from a 30MS Neverlia kit...?
Cirine: An ultra mobile ex-braver type, specializing in hit-and-run techniques and mixing close- and long-range weaponry. This character was made by my friend so I don't have much say in her personality, however she is quiet and stoic and a bit of a lone wolf. think Batman. She is girlfriends with Limina, and definitely fell first while Limina completely misjudged her affection as just her being friendly. She is an uncustomized spinatia reaper, though in-universe her visor can display analog emoticons to help her emote.
human characters who exist in the world, and will not be the focus but are important to the background plot-
Vincent Reid: an ex-richboy who rejected his family and became a mercenary, doing odd jobs for various bunkers despite the risks of the surface. met Magnolia before the war and they briefly dated before having a bad falling out, which he now regrets. (yes I love interpersonal drama.) he can use some magic, which he keeps secret.
Magnolia: a street kid who joined the military and became a war hero. she failed in her mission to prevent the meteor the wizards were sending towards the earth from falling. she went missing in the aftermath, and was later discovered wandering the surface in a trance by Vincent, her body warped by magic. currently in quarantine and observation in a bunker because she is one of the few survivors of the magic radiation given off by the meteor.
as you can see my focus will be the relationships between the characters and how they live in the aftermath of a ruined world, though there is a slight background plot of humanity trying to tame the magic that's plaguing the world.
