Cuando Alana y Alfa eran apenas unas diminutas bolitas de fuego, Cross no se despegaba de ellos ni un segundo. Eran tan frágiles, tan pequeños, que el solo hecho de tenerlos en los bolsillos lo llenaba de ansiedad… ¿y si se caían? ¿y si se perdían?

Así que, con todo el cuidado del mundo, confeccionó un pequeño pañuelo de tela suave, reforzado por dentro y decorado con la insignia de la familia real. Era acogedor, cálido, y lo suficientemente firme para mantenerlos a salvo.

Desde entonces, los llevaba ahí, cerquita de su cara, mientras entrenaba, trabajaba o caminaba por el castillo. Los gemelitos se acurrucaban juntos, emitiendo un suave brillo, mientras Cross sentía cómo el corazón se le llenaba de orgullo cada vez que los miraba.
