A com I got from Sebi of a snippet (below) of a scene from Tale of the Silencers: Secrets from On High. This is definitely up there as one of my faves and I love my doomed therapist and weird sphinx cat guy.

Snippet:

"So." A younger version of Diraeus starts, he is talking to another kyrian, Eliphos. "How is she?"

Eliphos chuckles sadly, "You know I'm not allowed to talk about that." "Not well then." Diraeus responds.

Eliphos is silent for a moment gripping the railing he's holding.

"I don't know what to do, Diraeus." He says his voice shaky. --

"I've tried everything I can think of, but I just can't—" Eliphos says gripping his hair.

"I can't do this." He says slumping down.

"Vesiphone isn't giving you much choice." Diraeus nods, "I have told her time and time again how to fix this, and she just won't listen!" Eliphos says.

"What about your book, that's evidence isn't it?"

Eliphos stares at him a moment.

"You were never supposed to see that." He says. --

"I did." Diraeus shrugs as if it's unimportant. "You did just leave it lying around—"

"I KNOW." Eliphos snaps.

Diraeus is startled.

Eliphos scrunches his face to compose himself.

"I need to help them." Eliphos says.

"Well… if anyone can, it's you Eliphos." Diraeus says.

I needed some alternative Diraeus angles and seeing a kyrian's exposed back feels like a Victorian ankle.

Diraeus: Not like you'd ever use this information.

I've had this as a wip for so long it's my old lettering, but I wanted to finish it.

Diraeus probably should use a wheel chair for his ankles. Since wheel chairs designed for Ascended can fly in Bastion (ones for Aspirants just hover.)

But Diraeus lives like he's a soldier in the trenches of WWI and believes that drinking some strong spirits and chewing on a rag counts as a pain killer.

I was thinking about Eridia when she's Paragon proxy for when Vesiphone is going to be on medical leave. And she realises pretty quickly she needs a Hand proxy as well because Puritys work load is kind of crazy no wonder it broke Vesiphone.

The question was who?

The temples numbers had been greatly thined by the events of Shadowlands. She considered Kosmas because Vesiphone had given him experience. But his eyes alone said 'Please do not give me that responsibility. '

Then she had a kind of crazy idea. Around this time Diraeus was in jail, he refused to join any Temple again after what had happened, he had a lot of complaints on how Bastion was run.

So Eridia asked him for advice, and then she asked him to do little things for her. And he couldn't say no because it was Eridia. (She was like a daughter to him.)

He didn't catch on that all these things Eridia was asking him to do where Hand duties. And that Eridia had secretly appointed him as Hand proxy.

This gave Diraeus something to do, and kept him out of jail as he was Purity now, thus Purity's problem.

Nikolon asked her how in the Archon she got him to agree to be her hand. She said she didn't, she forged his signature. Nikolon wasn't even surprised.

Vesiphone had to be reminded of her breathing techniques when she learned a fallen Kyrian was acting as Hand of Purity. Xandria had to listen to her rant it out.

Realising I might be obsessed with my Silencer story when:
